A Psalm of Praise

When my emotions are flowing like water,
Cascading over rocks,
Then, Lord, I will trust you.

I praise You, oh Lord , My God!

Let your Spirit teach me your ways,
When anxious thoughts assault my mind.
Then Your peace will be my guard.

I praise You, oh Lord, my God!

When my flesh rises up to take control,
My spirit will turn to You for strength.
And You will gird me up!

I praise You, oh Lord, my God!

How great is the deliverance You have wrought!
All my family and friends rejoice
To see Your mighty works in me!

I praise You, oh Lord, my God!

God's Mercies Are New Every Morning!

Did you ever think about God's mercy? How about His grace? I have been told that the mercy of God is not getting what we do deserve, in penalty for our sin. God's grace is getting what we do not deserve, in regards to God blessing our lives. Ephesians 2:8, 9 says that it is by grace that we are saved through faith. That faith is a gift of God, not as a result of our own works, so that we don't have anything to boast about. When it comes to our salvation, we can do nothing. We are sinners and our righteousness is as filthy rags to God. Without Jesus' death and resurrection, we would have no hope, but God through His Son provided the only way for us to be saved. All that we need to do is believe that God raised Jesus from the dead and confess with our mouths that "Jesus is Lord!" and we shall be saved. It is that simple! So what about this grace and mercy? Grace provides for us through Jesus Christ to live a life that is pleasing to God. Grace provides everything we need to live a righteous life. God provides for our salvation initially and daily. We just need to ask God to give us the grace we need for the situations we face. Again God makes it simple. God says His mercies are new every morning. We can have God's grace whenever we need it. It is a constant in the Christian life, but His mercies are new every morning. Why is that? Could it be that daily we all collectively use up His mercies and He has to renew the supply every day? No matter how we grow and mature in our chrstian walk, we still will sin. And we need God's mercy to cover and "delete" those sins. So God in His great love makes a new batch of mercies every morning, so that He never runs out. For that we should be very thankful!!!

Have you ever believed in Jesus Christ? Have you ever confessed that He is Lord of your life? If you have never believed in Jesus and would like to, pray the following prayer--Dear Father, I know that I am a sinner. There is no way that I can save myself. Even if I would try I would fall so far short of You and Your Righteousness. I need Your mercy for my life. I know that You sent Your Son Jesus to die for my sins. I believe that You raised Him from the dead. I know that Jesus is Lord and I want to make Him Lord over my life. So now I give You my life. I ask You to take control of my life and to save me from my sins. Thank you, Heavenly Father, for hearing my prayer. Thank you for Your Son Jesus. Thank you that He gave His life for me to be saved. I believe now that You accept me and have given me grace for my salvation today and for every day of the rest of my life! Amen

If you prayed that prayer today, I would like to know so that I can pray for you. You have made the most important decision that you could ever make. Please email me at nlrupert@sbcglobal.net. I am looking forward to hearing from you soon

It is also important that you start reading your Bible and praying on a daily basis. Start in the New Testament, probably with the Gospel of John. It is also important that you find a good church. Check my Joyce Meyer Ministries and Kenneth Copeland Ministries sites. If you contact either of these, they will be able to help you locate a good church in your area. God bless you abundantly and richly!

10-1-05 Jeremiah 31:25

Jeremiah 31:25 (KJ21)
For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul.

Jeremiah 31:25 (NAS)
For I satisfy the weary ones and refresh everyone who languishes

Jeremiah 31:25 (NIVUS)
I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.

Jeremiah 31:25(NRSV)
I will satisfy the weary, and all who are faint I will replenish.

Jeremiah 31:25 (NLT)
For I have given rest to the weary and joy to the sorrowing.

Sometimes life just makes you weary. Even the monotony of every day life can wear on you and drag you down. You can start feeling weak, faint, or listless. Life loses its sparkle and energy. You grow dull and heavy. Both your body and mind suffer exhaustion and you begin to lose patience with those around you or the circumstances in which you find yourself.

This, however, is not the Lord God's best plan for your life. He desires your life to be abundant and full. He wants to fulfill your smallest yearning and desire, as long as those are in line with His will and His word. He not only wants to fulfill your dreams, but He also wants you to enjoy your life as wait to see them manifested.

But , you say, how can I enjoy my life when I am so tired and weary? Where do I get joy when I feel so empty and dry? You must go to God; He is the only One who has an everlasting supply of all that you need. If you need strength, lean on Adonai, the Lord Almighty, who is all powerful. i f you are hungry, the Lord, the Bread of Life, will provide enough so that you can feed until you are full and satisfied. Perhaps you are thirsty; then go to Him who is the Living Water and He will slake your thirst. You will become drunk on His goodness and blessing in your life. Therefore, soak in the water of His word, which will cleanse you and refresh you.

If you are in a time of mourning and sorrow, do not let yourself pine, thinking you have no hope. The Lord God will draw you into His own comforting arms. He will fence you around with His love and compassion. Even though you have been diminished and suffered loss, God will replenish you. What was empty the Lord will fill up again. Where there was lack, God will give you abundance. And He will give you the physical and mental strength to accomplish,
finish, and complete all that He has planned for you.

Therefore, rejoice and be at peace, for the Lord your God is your Restorer and Rebuilder!

Livng in God's peace

For me to live is Christ and to die is gain.

9-30-05 Psalm 17:15

Psalm 17:15 (KJ21)

As for me, I will behold Thy face in righteousness;
I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with Thy likeness.

Psalm 17:15 (NAS)

As for me, I shall behold Thy face in righteousness;
I will be satisfied with Thy likeness when I awake.

Psalm 17:15 (NIVUS)

And I— in righteousness I will see your face; when I awake,
I will be satisfied with seeing your likeness.

Psalm 17:15 (NRSV)

As for me, I shall behold your face in righteousness;
when I awake I shall be satisfied, beholding your likeness.

Psalm 17:15 (NLT)

But because I have done what is right, I will see you.
When I awake, I will be fully satisfied,
for I will see you face to face.

At one time even the thought of standing before God caused you
to fear and tremble; you knew that you had done many wrong things
and were far from being perfect. You knew that because of your sins,
you would stand before Him naked and without defense.
However, then God revealed His Son Jesus Christ to you. You discovered
that becauseof the shed blood of Jesus, the Lamb of God, you were
cleansed and made pure and innocent once again. He made you right again,
for He satisfied what justice demanded; He became sin,
so that you could become the righteousness of God in Christ.

Now you have no fear to come into the presence of the Lord.
Although you approach with the fear of the Lord, giving Him the honor
and respect that is His due, you desire to gaze upon and behold His face.
You contemplate Him and His word with pleasure. He appears to you
as the dawning of the day with freshness and newness.

When you awake every day, you find that the manifestation of God's favor
is all that you need to satisfy you. When you are weary and tired,
the Lord fills you up with Himself. Therefore, each morning, as you arise
from your bed, seek your daily portion from Adonai, the Lord Most High.
He has plenty to give for your needs and more than enough to suffice
in every circumstance.

God's Handiwork!!!! I'm a new creation in Christ!

For if anyone be in Christ, he is a new creation. Old things are passed away; all things have become new.--2 Cor. 5:17

SET FREE FROM THE ROOT OF REJECTION!

For as long as I could remember, I never felt as if I had any real worth. I was of no value to anyone. In fact, for most of my life I felt like I was invisible. In my mind, I was of such little worth, that people did not see me or remember me. I was left out of things because to most people, "I simply did not exist."But that was all a lie,-- a well thought out lie--, but a lie nevertheless!

From the beginning of time God had a plan for my life and that plan was a good plan. He always loved me. He always saw me. He was always with me. He included me. I was of so much worth to Him that He sent His only begottten Son, Jesus Christ, to die for my sin, so that I might live my life for Him and in Him.

I received Jesus into my life and I allowed Him to become my Savior and to a certain extent, He became my Lord. However, in many areas of my life, I still lived under the shadow of that lie, that the accuser of the brethren had so craftily set into my life when I was very young and still very innocent. Even though I knew God loved me and that when I died, I would go to be with Him, I still lived for the most part covered with shame and filled with anger. I could not understand why I did not deserve to receive love, when it came so easily to others.

Because of the rejection I felt inside and the anger that constantly resided in me, I pushed people away, when I was trying so hard to draw them into my life. I didn't know what was wrong with me and even if I had known, I would not have known how to make it right. But then God, in His unfathonable and mysterious ways, sent me to a new state and eventually to a new church, where I was at home. The church offered a class, "Cleansing Stream", that helped Christian people to be set free from strongholds in their lives. I attended the class and the retreat at the end.

Little did I know the blessing God had in store for me.The first thing to be dealt with at he retreat was rejection! Step by step we were led through teaching and confessions denouncing the work of Satan in our lives. With each teaching/confession time, another layer of that lifelong stronghold was peeled away. By the end of the evening, I was completely set free from that root that had been allowed to grow for decades--and God through His Son Jesus had done all of the work. All that I had to do was believe and receive the love that He had always had for me. He is worthy of all praise, because He is so good and faithful!

Have you suffered in the same way that I used to? Do you feel unloved, worthless, and rejected? God has a plan for your life too! Turn to Him. He is ready to help you. He is ready to give His love to you!Let Jesus come into your heart and begin the healing process that you so desparately need!If you would like to talk to me and let me pray for you, write me at mailto:nlrupert@sbcglobal.net. Know God wants to make you whole! God bless you! Nancy

Psalm 106:4, 5 (KJ21)
Remember me, O LORD, with the favor which Thou bearest unto Thy people; O visit me with Thy salvation, that I may see the good of Thy chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of Thy nation, that I may glory with Thine inheritance.

Psalm 106:4, 5 (NAS)
Remember me, O LORD, in Thy favor toward Thy people; Visit me with Thy salvation,That I may see the prosperity of Thy chosen ones, That I may rejoice in the gladness of Thy nation,
That I may glory with Thine inheritance.

Psalm 106:4, 5 (NIVUS)
Remember me, O LORD, when you show favor to your people, come to my aid when you save them, that I may enjoy the prosperity of your chosen ones, that I may share in the joy of your nation and join your inheritance in giving praise.

Psalm 106:4, 5 (NRSV)
Remember me, O LORD, when you show favor to your people; help me when you deliver them; that I may see the prosperity of your chosen ones, that I may rejoice in the gladness of your nation, that I may glory in your heritage.

Psalm 106:4, 5 (NLT)
Remember me, too, LORD, when you show favor to your people; come to me with your salvation. Let me share in the prosperity of your chosen ones. Let me rejoice in the joy of your people; let me praise you with those who are your heritage.

Even though you ask the Lord god to remember you, His eye is never leaves you. However, it is good to ask, for that demonstrates your faith in Him. The Lord Jehovah has marked you and He recognizes you as His own, He is mindful of and thinks of you unceasingly. He delights in you. You have received His approval, for He has satisfied your debts through the blood of the Son. Your account is totally reconciled and marked "paid in full". Through His favor you, you have been pardoned and made acceptable.

Adonai, the Almighty God, desires to visit and spend time with you. He wants to take charge of your life and to watch over you with His friendly care. He has deposited deliverance, salvation, and victory into your account. Now you are free to draw upon it; through the Lord's salvation,
you receive help and aid, prosperity and healing. Even though the Lord your God has rescued you and brought you into open and wide place, you need not fear, for He is your Avenger and your Defender. He will preserve you and keep you.

You are one of God's chosen, whom He selected and appointed to become excellent. He has also elected that you should see and perceive His goodness. Beholding and considering the bounty that the Lord has set aside for you is an enjoyable experience, for He will cause you to look upon every precious things that He has already provided

When you view the best that His grace has to offer, your face will brighten up. You will cheer up and be merry; you will rejoice with exceeding gladness and pleasure. You will shine with the light reflected from your inheritance. You will boast and act foolishly, as you gaze upon all the God has given you to possess. To you it is like a flooded stream that runs through a narrow valley. As the water engulfs the land around it, so you will be engulfed in the Lord's kindness, mercy, and faithfulness.

Therefore, celebrate, giving glory and praise to the Most High God, who daily loads you with benefits.

9-27-05 Psalm 65: 4

Psalm 65: 4 (KJ21)
Blessed is the man whom Thou choosest and causest to approach unto Thee, that he may dwell in Thy courts. We shall be satisfied with the goodness of Thy house, even of Thy holy temple.

How blessed is the one whom Thou dost choose, and bring near to Thee, To dwell in Thy courts. We will be satisfied with the goodness of Thy house, Thy holy temple.

Blessed are those you choose and bring near to live in your courts! We are filled with the good things of your house, of your holy temple.

Psalm 65: 4 (NRSV)
Happy are those whom you choose and bring near to live in your courts. We shall be satisfied with the goodness of your house, your holy temple.

Psalm 65: 4 (NLT)
What joy for those you choose to bring near, those who live in your holy courts. What joys await us inside your holy Temple.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

You know that you are undergoing some trying times. However, do not let this discourage you to the point of giving up. These testing times come to you because Adonai has chosen and selected you. He has appointed you to speak for Him and you have joined yourself to Him and His cause. The Lord, however, does require your excellence and so the trying of your faith manifests. Although you are already acceptable to God, He wants to make you fit for the hole He has designed for you alone.

You know that even if there are trials, there are also blessings. As the Lord leads and guides you along a straight and level path, you go forward in happiness and prosperity. If you take an honest look at your life, you discover that God has already relieved you of much of the guilt and pain that you used to carry. As more time passes, you will find that the load you are bearing now will become even lighter.

Adonai is drawing you near to Himself. Because He chose you, you now can approach Him without shame. When you present yourself before Him to bring an offering or to just stand in His presence, you find rest. Soon you have no other wish except to permanently reside with Him. You have found your place in His court and there you remain. You are safe inside His walls and surrounded by His presence.

As you dwell with the Lord, you always have plenty to fill and satisfy you. You have access to every good, fair, and beautiful thing that is on display in His house, for Adonai provides only the best for the members of His family. In His temple you receive the power to endure and to prevail over your enemies; there you become an over-comer. Therefore, whether in His house or in His most Holy Temple, you will be filled with joy and gladness. It pleases the Lord God to see you well and prospering, happy and blessed!
