7-7-07 Genesis 28:15

Genesis 28:15 (NAS)
And behold, I am with you, and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.
Genesis 28:15 (NIVUS)
I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.
Genesis 28:15 (NRSV)
Know that I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.

The Bible is a record of many lives that experienced the faithfulness of Adonai, theMost High God. One of the first of these was Jacob, who later was known as Israel. The Lord promised to guard and keep Jacob wherever he went. Jacob saw this protection not only from his brother Esau, but also from his father-in-law Laban. In both instances, the Lord took care of him and kept him safe. Jacob knew that wherever he walked, coming or going, that he was under his God's watchful care. He also knew that whether he lived or died, he could trust God and His word. You, too, can know the same thing.

When the Lord first spoke to Jacob, He identified Himself as the God of Abraham and Isaac, Jacob's grandfather and father respectively. Jacob had seen how God kept His promises to both of these, his ancestors. Therefore, Jacob knew that he could believe the promises that the Lord also made to him.

Not only did the Lord promise to keep Jacob, but He also promised to return him safely to his homeland. When Jacob finally came back home, he was a different man. God had refreshed and restored him, but the Lord had also been working on his brother Esau. When they were reunited after years of separation, God had repaired their relationship. Jacob had fled in fear of his life, but upon his return, he found a loving brother.

Jehovah had also said that He would never leave Jacob until He had done all that He said He would do. The Lord God has also promised never to leave or forsake you. Like Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, you can depend on God's word. He will not abandon nor neglect you. What He has promised and declared to you, He will do. Like Jacob you will see the fulfillment of even the smallest detail.

So take heart. Reaffirm your trust in the Lord. You will see the accomplishment of His will for your life.

7-6-07 Job 5: 19-21

Job 5: 19-21(BBE)
He will keep you safe from six troubles, and in seven no evil will come near you. When there is need of food he will keep you from death, and in war from the power of the sword. He will keep you safe from the evil tongue; and you will have no fear of wasting when it comes.

Job 5: 19-21(NAS)
From six troubles He will deliver you, Even in seven evil will not touch you. In famine He will redeem you from death, And in war from the power of the sword. You will be hidden from the scourge of the tongue, Neither will you be afraid of violence when it comes.

Job 5: 19-21(NIVUS)
From six calamities he will rescue you; in seven no harm will befall you.In famine he will ransom you from death, and in battle from the stroke of the sword. You will be protected from the lash of the tongue, and need not fear when destruction comes.

There are many things to fear in this world--natural disasters and evil men, among others. However, for you, child of God, fear should not rule your life. Adonai, who is your Lord, has pledged Himself to take care of you. If six troubles should beset you at one time, even then do not let fear take control, for God has promised to rescue and deliver you. He will save you; He will spoil and plunder your enemies and rivals. He will not allow them to bind you or push you into a narrow and tight place.

Maybe you think that things could not get any worse, but then a seventh comes against you. Even then do not let your heart be troubled. Jehovah will not let anything evil or bad reach you. It cannot touch you and you will not be defeated. Although you find yourself in a land suffering with famine, Jehovah will redeem and ransom you from death. He will rescue and deliver you. You will not die prematurely.

When you find yourself in a war or battle, the hand that holds the sword will not be able to wield it against you. The enemy's abundance of power and strength will be weak when it comes toward you. It will not be able to accomplish or complete its plans. You will not be laid waste nor made desolate.

Because He loves you fervently, cherishing your every breath, He will hide you even from a war of words. No one will slander or accuse you. Any tongue lashing that would try to whip you with words will be powerless. None will be able to chastise or judge you.

Therefore, do not be afraid of violence or destruction in any form. The Lord your God will keep you safe and preserve you, when you put your trust in Him.

7-5-07 Job 5:17, 18

Job 5:17, 18 (BBE)
Truly, that man is happy who has training from the hand of God: so do not let your heart be shut to the teaching of the Ruler of all.For after his punishment he gives comfort, and after wounding, his hands make you well.

Job 5:17, 18 (JPS)
Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth; therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty. For He maketh sore, and bindeth up; He woundeth, and His hands make whole.

Job 5:17, 18 (NAS)
"Behold, how happy is the man whom God reproves, So do not despise the discipline of the Almighty."For He inflicts pain, and gives relief; He wounds, and His hands also heal.

Job 5:17, 18 (NIVUS)
Blessed is the man whom God corrects; so do not despise the discipline of the Almighty. For he wounds, but he also binds up; he injures, but his hands also heal.

You are your happiest and most blessed when you are going forward and making progress in your walk with the Lord. Sometimes you can only walk a straight path if you receive correction from Adonai the Most High God . When you are ch-5-07astened, you should consider yourself blessed, for the Lord your God has only your best interests in mind, when He tests and proves you.
Do not despise or reject His reproof and conviction. Do not refuse to listen to Him, but embrace His words with gladness. The discipline and instruction, that He gives you, should always be welcome. He desires to teach you to walk in a way that is pleasing to Him. Know that He is El-Shaddai, the Almighty God, who could choose to destroy and ruin you. However, He chooses to reason with and instruct you in His will.
Yes, His chastening may cause you pain and sorrow. You may be sore and hurt for awhile, but the Lord will bind up and bandage your wounds. He will heal you. You may feel shattered, but His hand will restore you. He will fill you up and give you from His abundance again. Once more you will be complete and satisfied in His presence; and you will continue walking that straight path that Jehovah has set before your feet.

7-3-07 1 Peter 3: 12

1 Peter 3: 12 (NAS)
"FOR THE EYES OF THE LORD ARE UPON THE RIGHTEOUS, AND HIS EARS ATTEND TO THEIR PRAYER, BUT THE FACE OF THE LORD IS AGAINST THOSE WHO DO EVIL."
1 Peter 3: 12 (Philips)
For the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, And his ears unto their supplication: But the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

You know that you are never out of the Lord your God's sight. He always knows where you are and what you are doing, for He cares for you. You belong to Him; He is your Master and Lord. He knows you are righteous, even though there was evidence that proved otherwise. He has made you innocent, faultless, and blameless. You keep the commands of the Lord and you are virtuous. Daily you are being transformed and conformed wholly to God's will. Jesus Chrst, who accepts and approves of you, has paid the penalty for your sins, taking your sentence and punishment on Himself.

He is always listening for your cry. He understands and knows that you need His help. When you seek Him, entreating Him for His aid, He provides everything that you need or want. He already knows what you desire and long for. He also knows those areas in which Satan has bound you, putting you under the obligation of the Law. Since He has already fulfilled the Law's obligations with His own body and blood, He is quick to respond to your supplications. He wants you to lack for nothing.

However, when the Lord looks at the wicked, they dread seeing His face; for they see judgment and not acceptance registered there. They have not acknowledged Yeshua as their lord and master. They do not revere or honor Him. He has set Himself against them, for He has seen their evil deeds. Everything they do is destructive and troublesome. They are totally opposed to His will.

7-2-07Joshua 1: 13-15

Joshua 1: 13-15 (NAS)
Remember the word which Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you, saying, ‘The LORD your God gives you rest, and will give you this land. Your wives, your little ones, and your cattle shall remain in the land which Moses gave you beyond the Jordan, but you shall cross before your brothers in battle array, all your valiant warriors, and shall help them until the LORD gives your brothers rest, as He gives you, and they also possess the land which the LORD your God is giving them. Then you shall return to your own land, and possess that which Moses the servant of the LORD gave you beyond the Jordan toward the sunrise

The Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh were content with their lot and did not want to go into the land of Canaan, the land of promise from the Lord their God. The Reubenites, especially, had only the vision for what they had already seen; they perceived that the land they inhabited was a good land. They, therefore chose to remain in it. The Gadites and Manasseh, as well, saw this land as their fortune.

The Lord Jehovah, through His servant Moses, seeing these attitudes, agreed to let them stay in the wilderness. He gave them the land for which they asked, telling them that they could settle down and rest there. However, He required them to make a commitment concerning this promise. He was willing for their wives, family, livestock and possessions to remain on the opposite side of the Jordan, but the men must be willing to fight with and for their brothers.
These tribes were to advance across the Jordan river and to help their brethren to clear their way. They were to go dressed and arrayed for battle, for the Lord their God had made them strong, brave, and mighty. They were powerful and would prevail against their enemies. They were an efficient force with a wealth of ability to help support the men of the remaining tribes.
Moses commanded them to continue in the fray of the battle until all of the other tribes had obtained rest and quiet. Until every child of Israel possessed his patch of land, the tribes from the eastern bank of the Jordan were committed to help. Only when their enemies had been disinherited and defeated could the Eastern tribes return to their inheritance.
When the Lord gives you what He has promised you, you should rejoice. However, if you see some of your brethren who are still waiting for their inheritances, you should do everything you can to help them reach the goals that the Lord their God has set for them. As you fight together with them, supporting them in their quest, you will find blessings coming upon you and overtaking you. Then you will all see the fulfillment of your dreams.

7-1-07 Revelation 21:5

Revelation 21:5 (NAS)
And He who sits on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new." And He *said, "Write, for these words are faithful and true."

Revelation 21:5 (Philips)
Then he who is seated upon the throne said, "See, I am making all things new!" And he added, "Write this down for my words are true and to be trusted."

Only One, the Lord God Almighty, has the power and authority to govern the world, as He sits on His royal throne, His seat of state, judges all the inhabitants of the world. He is firm, immovable, and steadfast.

From His place at the right hand of God, Jesus Christ the Lord speaks. His words pour forth and flow throughout the universe. He makes His thoughts known, declaring all that is in His heart. What He utters brings light, revealing His Truth. He pleads with mankind to look and perceive what He has done for us.

He has taken your old, wicked nature, and has transformed you into something new, fresh and unworn. What He did was unprecedented, uncommon, and novel; He changed you from a sinner into His righteous child. He has declared you in right standing with Himself and even gave you faith to believe this.

Then He wrote down His words so that you would not question or forget what He said. His mandates and decrees are real, true, and genuine. They are not fictitious, imaginary, or counterfeit. They are perfect, strong, and certain. There is no defect or any hidden, secret meanings in them. You can trust everything that the Lord has uttered. Like their maker, these words are faithful and reliable. What God promises, He does. You need not fear to place your confidence in Him.
