4-7-07 Acts 4:33

Acts 4:33 (KJ21)
And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was upon them all.

Acts 4:33 (NAS)
And with great power the apostles were giving witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and abundant grace was upon them all.

Acts 4:33 (NIVUS)
With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and much grace was upon them all.

Acts 4:33 (NLT)
And the apostles gave powerful witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and God’s great favor was upon them all.

Power is a commodity that many men seek. With this commodity, these men, who are proud and arrogant, think that they will be more than and greater than those around them. In fact, they may experience this, but this kind of power will not last forever. There is always Someone who is more powerful and in the end He will show those who sought only for power how misguided they were.

The apostles of the early Church discovered that they had great power and strength as they testified of the Lord Jesus Christ's resurrection. These men became preeminent in the Kingdom of God and received more authority than any of their peers. Through the indwelling of God's Holy Spirit; they had inherent power and ability that was not available to others. They could even perform miracles in the strength of the Lord, for they made Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who was raised from the dead, their sovereign Master. Not only did they receive great power, they also were given great grace. Adonai's favor rested on them and they were kept by His kindness and mercy.

Like these apostles, you can have great power in your life and great grace resting upon you. Although you did not see the resurrection of Jesus Christ, you have experienced it by faith. As you testify and witness of your faith, you will see God's favor and strength working in and through you, as well. As you yield to the power of the Holy Spirit, you may even see miracles. The power that raised Jesus from the grave will be yours to show others the way of salvation.

4-6-07 John 11:25

John 11:25 (KJ21)
Jesus said unto her, "I am the Resurrection and the Life. He that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live;

John 11:25 (NAS)
Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me shall live even if he dies,

John 11:25 (NIVUS)
Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies;

John 11:25 (NLT)
Jesus told her, "I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me, even though they die like everyone else, will live again.

Some people think that when they die, they simply cease to exist. They, therefore, live their lives according to the philosophy of "Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow you die." Even though it is appointed for everyone to die at some time, no one ceases to exist, but each goes into eternity. They either die believing God or cursing Him. Belief takes them into Adonai's presence to enjoy Him forever, whereas the curse leaves them eternally separated from God and alone.

Almighty God has already provided a way for each individual to enjoy eternal life. He sent His son Jesus, who is your salvation. During His time on earth, Jesus continually declared His purpose and mission and He is still speaking through His church, letting people know that He has already provided the salvation and deliverance that each person needs.
He is the only one able to raise someone from the dead, for He is the resurrection. In fact, He laid down His life, so that His Father God could raise Him up again. Through His resurrection, all who believe in Him were also resurrected. Death could not hold Jesus the Son of God, for He is Life itself. He gives vitality and animation to every soul who has faith in Him.

Therefore, if you do not buy into the "eat, drink, and be merry" lie and you want to have an eternally blessed life, put your trust and confidence in Jesus, the Resurrection and the Life. Death will not be able to hold you, like it was not able to hold the Son of God, and you will be raised up again into a vital and everlasting life in fellowship with the Most High God, the Creator of all life.

4-5-07 Deuteronomy 33:27

Deuteronomy 33:27 (KJ21)
The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms; and He shall thrust out the enemy from before thee, and shall say, ‘Destroy them.’

Deuteronomy 33:27 (NAS)
The eternal God is a dwelling place, And underneath are the everlasting arms; And He drove out the enemy from before you, And said, ‘Destroy!’

Deuteronomy 33:27 (NIVUS)
The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. He will drive out your enemy before you, saying, ‘Destroy him!’

Deuteronomy 33:27(NLT)
The eternal God is your refuge, and his everlasting arms are under you. He thrusts out the enemy before you; it is he who cries, ‘Destroy them!’

The eternal God, the one true God, is the One who has come before you and the One who goes before you. He is your dwelling place and your refuge. He hides you underneath His everlasting arms. These arms not only sow seed in your life, but also keep you concealed as a secret. He drives away your enemies, those who are hostile to you. When they come toward you face to face, He turns them away and makes your way clear. He commands that they be exterminated, annihilated, and destroyed.

So you will dwell in safety and prosperity. He will not allow you to be destroyed! He has brought you into a good land! And you shall receive all the He has planned for you!

How awesome is your Eternal God!

4-4-07 3 John 2

3 John 2 (KJ21)
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

3 John 2 (NAS)
Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.

3 John 2 (NIVUS)
Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.

3 John 2 (NLT)
Dear friend, I am praying that all is well with you and that your body is as healthy as I know your soul is.

You are the Lord's beloved, His favorite, His dear one. He esteems you and makes you worthy of His love. He wants your life to be a prosperous and expeditious journey. He wants to lead you on a direct and easy way. He wants you to be well off and successful. He wants you to be healthy and sound in body. He is making you whole and restoring you to health in every area of you life.

Continue to yield all of yourself to Him. Daily give over your soul -- the very seat of your feelings, desires and affections -- to Him. With each breath, you will see His hand of blessing on your life!

4-3-07 Psalms 17:13

Psalms 17:13 (KJ21)
Arise, O LORD, disappoint them! Cast them down; deliver my soul from the wicked by Thy sword,

Psalms 17:13 (NAS)
Arise, O LORD, confront him, bring him low; Deliver my soul from the wicked with Thy sword,

Psalms 17:13 (NIVUS)
Rise up, O LORD, confront them, bring them down; rescue me from the wicked by your sword.

Psalms 17:13 (NLT)
Arise, O LORD! Stand against them and bring them to their knees! Rescue me from the wicked with your sword!

Some people are known as rising stars. They are bright and talented and their gifts and talents have lifted them out of the crowd. They are on their way to becoming a household name and are seen as someone who stands above their peers.

You may not see yourself in the star category, but in a lowly position. However, that is not how Adonai the Lord God sees you. You are made in His image and He is always exalted and raised up. In Christ, you are seated with Him in the heavenly places, far above the meager and mediocre things of the world.

Because of your relationship with the Most High, you can always ask for His help when your enemies are attacking. When God hears your voice, He will get up and rouse Himself on your behalf. The enemy will be prevented from carrying out his destructive plans, for the Lord has already anticipated his moves. The enemy will be disappointed and cast down. He will be like a sheep that is cast down on its back and unable to get back up without the shepherd's help. In this position, the sheep will die if no one comes to its aid. Likewise the plans and schemes of your foes will die, when the Lord your God raises Himself against them.

You will slip out of your adversaries grasp, for the Lord God has delivered you and provided a way of escape. He will then carry you to safety, away from those who are wicked and ungodly. The Almighty has raised His sword against those who wish to violate and disturb you, allowing you to go free.

4-2-07 Ecclesiates 1:!

Ecclesiastes 1:1 (KJ21)
To every thing there is a season, and a time for every purpose under the heaven:

Ecclesiastes 1:1(NAS)
There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven—

Ecclesiastes 1:1(NIVUS)
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:

Ecclesiastes 1:1 (NLT)
There is a time for everything, a season for every activity under heaven.

In the Northern Hemisphere, you are in the season of spring, a time of new growth. Temperatures are warming and the grass and trees are becoming greener by the day. Soon flowers will be blooming in profusion. Bright and subtle colors will be apparent wherever you look.

Like nature, your life goes through different seasons. Maybe you are also experiencing a time of re-growth and renewal--a new spring. Perhaps you are feeling the heat of summer or the change of autumn. You could be in a winter-time, when everything seems dead and dormant. Whatever season you are in, you can be sure that soon it will pass.

Adonai, the Lord God, is a God of order. He sets and appoints certain times. He knows what is in your past, your present, and your future. He has planned what He wants you to experience and what your fortunes should be. He has delights and pleasures set aside just for you, for He delights and takes pleasure in you.

From Heaven, God looks upon you. He observes and watches you in the morning, at noon, and in the evening. During the night, He guards and protects you. He knows the desires and longings of your heart and has set aside the appointed time to fulfill them. Therefore, take heart and be encouraged. The Lord your God has not forgotten you and soon your time will come.

4-1-07 Hebrews 2:17

Hebrews 2:17 (NAS)
Therefore, He had to be made like His brethren in all things, that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.

Hebrews 2:17 (NIVUS)
For this reason he had to be made like his brothers in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people.

Hebrews 2:17 (Philips)
It was imperative that he should be made like his brothers in every respect, if he were to become a High Priest both compassionate and faithful in the things of God, and at the same time able to make atonement for the sins of the people.

Yes, God did so love the world that He sent His only begotten Son to be our Savior. Because of His very nature, which is love itself, the Father could do no less. He and His Son were in complete agreement over this decision. In fact, they almost owed mankind this opportunity; they took on our salvation as a personal obligation. However, they looked upon it as something to their advantage and profit.

Jehovah (Jesus), in deciding this, knew that the only way He could save man, was to become man. He had to resemble and be like man in every way, except for man's fallen nature. The sacrifice for Him was great, but He knew that through it, He would redeem many back to the Father and, in that action, be able to call them "brethren."

By becoming a man, He was able to experience every thing that any human being experiences through out a lifetime. Through this He is able to empathize with our suffering. However, empathy is not where He stopped. His understanding of our nature allows Him to be even more merciful to us. He desires to help and be kind to all who will come to Him. Any who are miserable, afflicted and wretched can find aid at His throne, without fear of punishment. Yeshua (Jesus) is faithful; we can rely on and trust in Him totally. He has extended His favor to us and we in turn strive to please Him through obedience to His word.

He became our High Priest. Through His own blood, shed freely, He has made atonement once and for all for our sin, by which we violated God's laws. After He sacrificed Himself, He took that same blood and sprinkled it on the eternal mercy seat, so that it everlastingly calls out salvation for those who will trust in it. Yeshua's blood has appeased the wrath of God. Now we are consecrated to God and are His very own precious possessions
