2-15-08 Nehemiah 6:16 Your Enemies Are Afraid of Your God

Nehemiah 6:16 (NAS)
And it came about when all our enemies heard of it, and all the nations surrounding us saw it, they lost their confidence; for they recognized that this work had been accomplished with the help of our God.

Nehemiah 6:16 (NLT)
When our enemies and the surrounding nations heard about it, they were frightened and humiliated. They realized that this work had been done with the help of our God.

When you think of your enemies, often you are tempted to fear. However, your foes, who show hostility to you, are well aware of the power of the Lord God that works in your life. They listen attentively to all of the reports that come from your mouth and they hear what others are saying about Adonai.

Unbelievers pay attention to you, observing you in every circumstance. Whether you are aware of it or not, the Lord your God puts you on exhibition. When you pass by, they will even turn their heads to watch your every move.

As they listen and observe, they realize that you can easily overthrow them. They know that if they encounter you, when you are strengthened by your God, that they will be cast down. Exceeding force and power is at your disposal and will cause their great fall. As you stand and watch, you see them defeated through their own vision. What they perceive and see will cause them to tremble and quiver.

Those ,of whom you were afraid, are now in fear of you. They know of all the work that Almighty God has done. They admit that what He does is greater than what they can do. They also recognize that since you are His ambassador and messenger, that you have been entrusted with the same power and authority that He possesses. They acknowledge that what you do in His name will have the same effect as God Himself doing it.

Therefore, do not let fear overcome you. In Yeshua, your Messiah, you are more than a conqueror.

2-14-08 Psalm 126:2 Your Life Is a Celebration

Psalms 126:2 (NAS)
Then our mouth was filled with laughter, And our tongue with joyful shouting; Then they said among the nations, "The LORD has done great things for them."

Psalms 126:2 (NLT)
We were filled with laughter, and we sang for joy. And the other nations said, "What amazing things the LORD has done for them."
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Earlier in your life, you never thought that you could be so full and that you would have abundance in everything. All of this is due to the Lord your God. He has satisfied you and completed you. Now your mouth is filled with His praises. Laughter pours forth from your lips, for you have a joy rooted deep within. This same joy, that strengthens you, also arms you against your enemies and your laughter mocks them.

No longer do you use your tongue to slander and accuse others, but your language is filled with proclamations of joy and praise. Your enemies hear a ringing cry of rejoicing as you sing of the goodness and faithfulness of Adonai. Even your supplications and entreaties that come before the Lord become exultations and exhortations of wisdom.

Now the unbelieving and the heathen speak of what the Lord God has done for you. They see that God has made you powerful and has allowed you to do great things. You have magnified Jehovah in your life and He has promoted you. All of those who watch you stand in awe and wonder, for they know that only the Most High God could make your life the celebration that it has become

2-12-08 Ezekiel 37:13 The Lord Has Brought You Out of the Grave

Ezekiel 37:13 (NAS)
"Then you will know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves and caused you to come up out of your graves, My people. And I will put My Spirit within you, and you will come to life, and I will place you on your own land. Then you will know that I, the LORD, have spoken and done it," declares the LORD.
Ezekiel 37:13 (NLT)
When this happens, O my people, you will know that I am the LORD. I will put my Spirit in you, and you will live and return home to your own land. Then you will know that I am the LORD. You will see that I have done everything just as I promised. I, the LORD, have spoken!
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
It is good to remember that you are someone that the Lord God brought out of darkness. He opened up the dark place and loosed you from its hold. You may have felt that you were buried in a grave and all life had departed from you, but then Adonai adopted you as His child. He brought you up and out of the tomb of death that enclosed you. The gates of hell were thrown open and you were set free. Jehovah exalted you and made you excel.

Then the Lord your God breathed on you, putting His very own Spirit within you. As a son born to you in the natural displays your traits and characteristics, so now you who have been born in the spirit, display the traits and characteristics of your Father God. You have been given His disposition, His courage and His patience. He brought you back to life and energized you. He restored you completely, giving you all that you needed for life and godliness.

He has set you on your own land, a place where you can settle down and rest. In your God given territory, you have quiet and repose. You receive your sustenance from that which He has entrusted to you.

Because Adonai has done this for you, you now know that He is the Lord. Whatever He has spoken will come to pass; what He has promised you, He will accomplish. All of His promises are appointed and ordained and each word will be instituted.

2-10-08 Romans 11:15 Salvation for the World

Romans 11:15 (NAS)
For if their rejection be the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?
Romans 11:15 (Philips)
For if their exclusion from the pale of salvation has meant the reconciliation of the rest of mankind to God, what would their inclusion mean? It would be nothing less than life from the dead!
Romans 11:15 (NLT)
For since the Jews’ rejection meant that God offered salvation to the rest of the world, how much more wonderful their acceptance will be. It will be life for those who were dead!
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
The Jews are God's chosen people and the nation He has established for Himself. However, for a short while, He has rejected them; in a sense, He has cast them away from Himself. As a garment that is currently not in use, the nation of Israel has been laid aside, until Adonai is ready to to take them up again. This is only to fulfill the will of God for the Gentiles.

You have reaped the benefits of this temporary condition of the Hebrew nation. Because of this, through Jesus, you have been restored to divine favor. You have received atonement and reconciliation by His blood. The Lord God has exchanged your sinful state for one of righteousness. By your mutual agreement, you have been changed. Now you are completely different. God has removed you from harm and He cares for you as your provider.

Soon, Adonai will admit His chosen back into His friendship. He will receive them to Himself again and extend His grace and kindness to them, as well as you. Like you, they will receive life. Adonai will breathe His Spirit into them once more and bring them back from death. Through the resurrection of the nation of Israel, the rest of the world will take notice. Then others will seek to be set free from the death that held them for so long.
