5-26-07 Jeremiah 33: 3

Jeremiah 33: 3 (BBE)
Let your cry come to me, and I will give you an answer, and let you see great things and secret things of which you had no knowledge.

Jeremiah 33: 3 (JPS)
Call unto Me, and I will answer thee, and will tell thee great things, and hidden, which thou knowest not.

Jeremiah 33: 3 (NAS)
Call to Me, and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.

Jeremiah 33: 3 (NIVUS)
Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.

The Lord Jehovah commands you to call out to Him. Call to Him using a loud sound. Call to Him for help. Call to Him using His name. He wants you to summon Him and invite Him to come your aid. When you encounter Him, lay hold of Him until He gives you what you want. He declares that He will answer and respond to your cry. He will shout out your answer. When you receive it from Him, He may even sing a tuneful song in response.

He will also declare and announce to you important and great things--things that are secret, mysterious, and inaccessible to others. They are things that are powerful, which give the Lord praise and magnify His name. You, however, did not perceive or discern them before. You had no experience of them and could not even recognize them. By His grace He has made them known to you now.

If there is something in your life that you do not understand, ask the Lord to explain it to you. Seek His face diligently and He will reward you. He will show you what you need to know; so that your mind can be at peace

5-25-07 Psalms 18:13, 14

Psalms 18:13, 14 (NIVUS)
The LORD thundered from heaven; the voice of the Most High resounded. He shot his arrows and scattered the enemies, great bolts of lightning and routed them.

Psalms 18:13, 14 (NLT)
The LORD thundered from heaven; the Most High gave a mighty shout. He shot his arrows and scattered his enemies; his lightning flashed, and they were greatly confused.

Psalms 18:13, 14 (NRSV)
The LORD also thundered in the heavens, and the Most High uttered his voice. And he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; he flashed forth lightnings, and routed them.

Psalms 18:13, 14 (NAS)
The LORD also thundered in the heavens, And the Most High uttered His voice, Hailstones and coals of fire. And He sent out His arrows, and scattered them, And lightning flashes in abundance, and routed them.

The Lord Jehovah is love and yet love sometimes becomes irritated and angry. God's anger can be heard, at times, in the crash and roar of thunder from heaven. But who should fear the thunder of God's anger? Those who are His adversaries and foes should tremble when the Most High utters His voice. Those who continue to hate and show hostility to Adonai the Supreme God put themselves in a position to feel the results of His wrath. Hailstones and coals of fire may kindle upon them, if they refuse to repent and turn to God for help.

The Lord will send out arrows to wound His enemies. They will be pierces and cut in two. God will dash them in pieces and disperse their onslaughts. The Lord's enemies will be scattered with His lightening and flashing sword, for the host the Almighty's army will break the unity in the enemy's camp. They will be abundantly disturbed and there shall be great commotion in their midst. The Lord will break, crush, and destroy them. He will vanquish His foes.

You, however, do not need to fear the wrath of the Most High. You have been granted His mercy and favor because you believe in and trust His Son Jesus Christ. You are no longer God's foe and adversary, but you are now His child, with all the rights and privileges of an heir of the Kingdom!

5-24-07 Isaiah 28:16

Isaiah 28:16 (JPS)
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD: Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a costly corner-stone of sure foundation; he that believeth shall not make haste.

Isaiah 28:16 (NAS)
Therefore thus says the Lord GOD, "Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a tested stone, A costly cornerstone for the foundation, firmly placed. He who believes in it will not be disturbed.

Isaiah 28:16 (NIVUS)
So this is what the Sovereign LORD says: "See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation; the one who trusts will never be dismayed.

Isaiah 28:16 (NRSV)
therefore thus says the Lord GOD, See, I am laying in Zion a foundation stone, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation: "One who trusts will not panic."

Adonai, the Lord God, has laid a foundation which is fixed and established in Zion. Even though Zion was a dry and parched place, God chose it as a signpost and monument to His glory. He chose it as the place where He would build His house and His family.

He began with a Stone that the builders rejected. This Stone appeared common in appearance, but really was very precious. It was a Stone of strength, firmness, and solidity. God tried and tested this Stone. He examined and scrutinized Him. And He proved that He was indeed valuable, precious, and glorious. He esteemed it highly and made it the Chief Corner Stone, the Stone on which the remainder of His building rested. The Chief Corner Stone held up every other stone, keeping them all in place and preventing them from collapse.

Whoever falls upon this Stone, submitting to His will, finds himself in a fixed and established place. He remains firm because he is totally supported. He is nourished, carried, and fostered. He can trust and rely totally on the Chief Corner Stone, for He is faithful. As a living stone, the man of God does not need to make haste or to act quickly from fear. His position is sure and lasting!

Who is this Chief Corner Stone? He is Jesus Christ, your Lord and Savior. He holds you up and holds you together.

5-23-07 Isaiah 41:10

Isaiah 41:10 (JPS)
Fear thou not, for I am with thee, be not dismayed, for I am thy God;
I strengthen thee, yea, I help thee; yea, I uphold thee with My victorious right hand.

Isaiah 41:10 (NAS)
Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

You do not need to be afraid or terrified of anything. You have nothing to dread. You do not need to look about in dismay or be anxious, for Adonai, the Mighty God, is your God. He is the one true God; He is Jehovah, the Lord and your Savior.

He is the One who makes you strong and secure. He helps you stand firm and assured in all things. He is your Helper and your support. With His right hand, He holds fast to you and keeps you.

He has given you right standing with Him and you are justified in His sight. He extended His mercy to you so that you do not have to face His wrath. He has delivered you, prospered you, and given you victory.
Your character and conduct reflect all that He has done in your life. You are vindicated before others. He has defended you and cleared your name. He has cleansed you and saved you.

You are His, now and forever!

5-22-07 Ezekiel 36: 33-36

Ezekiel 36:33-36 (NIVUS)
This is what the Sovereign LORD says: On the day I cleanse you from all your sins, I will resettle your towns, and the ruins will be rebuilt. The desolate land will be cultivated instead of lying desolate in the sight of all who pass through it. They will say, "This land that was laid waste has become like the Garden of Eden; the cities that were lying in ruins, desolate and destroyed, are now fortified and inhabited." Then the nations around you that remain will know that I the LORD have rebuilt what was destroyed and have replanted what was desolate. I the LORD have spoken, and I will do it.

The Lord Jehovah has cleansed and purified you. He made an intentional decision to deliver you from all of your perversity, depravity, and iniquity. Whatever was bent, twisted, or distorted in you has been straightened by His word. He separated you from all wrong. You now have no guilt or fear of punishment at His hands.

Adonai the Almighty has caused you to dwell in a secure and well guarded place. He watches over and protects you. He has rebuilt what was once waste and ruin. You have received restoration and refreshment for the desolation and drought you have endured. You have been established and will continue strong in Him.

Jehovah (Jesus the Lord) has taken your devastated, ravaged and deserted land and has worked and tilled it. Many people used to be astounded and astonished at the destruction in your life, but now they see something totally different. You have become like the Garden of Eden, a place that contains pleasant, delightful and fine things. What was torn and broken down is now fortified and enclosed. What was dried up and laid waste has become a safe habitation, a place where others would like to abide.

You have become a mystery to those who used to despise you, for they perceive that the Lord has shown you favor. They recognize that He has rebuilt your life. He has planted good seed in you and has fixed what was broken. He declared that He would do this for you and He has kept His word. Your life is a testimony of God's goodness and faithfulness

5-21-07 Colossians 1:21-23

Colossians 1:21-23 (NAS)
And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind,
engaged in evil deeds, yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach—if indeed you continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, was made a minister.

At one time you existed as a stranger and a foreigner to God and His Kingdom. As His enemy, you were separated from Him. There was no intimacy or fellowship with Him. There was only hostility. In your mind and understanding, you thought there was only hatred between you and God. Your life was comprised of great trouble, intense desire and pain. Even though you labored and toiled, you were always pressed and harassed. All you could see were annoyances and hardships.

Now at this present time, you are no longer separated. The Lord has reconciled you to Himself, bringing you back into harmony with Him. You now are in His favor. You have been transformed.

Through His death, Jesus Christ experienced the misery of the soul that sin brings. He gave His flesh over to death in order to save and to rescue you from the destruction of sin. He became sin for you on the cross so that you can be made well, healed and restored.

God has now brought you near to Himself. You now have fellowship and intimacy with Him. You can stand in His presence unharmed, safe and sound. He has made you pure and clean. You are faultless and blameless. No one can find a blemish in you. You are no longer a disgrace. No one can accuse or bring a charge against you. He has made you holy. You are sacred to Him and He cherishes you with tender love. You are precious in His sight!

Therefore, continue to abide in His presence. Do not depart from the truth of God's word. Maintain your trust in the Lord and keep fervent in your belief in Him. Remain faithful to Him and confident in His love. Always strive to please Him. as you obey and yield to Him in everything.

Jesus Christ is the firm foundation that has been laid in your life. He has stabilized and established you. You are firm, immovable and steadfast. Do not let yourself be moved by any expectation of fear. Expect only good and reward.

You have already received God's kindness and His blessing. You heard the good news of the gospel that was preached to you and you responded. You are God's child and you belong to Him forever!

5-20-07 1 Corinthians 10:13

1 Corinthians 10:13 (NAS)
No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, that you may be able to endure it.

1 Corinthians 10:13 (NIVUS)
No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

1 Corinthians 10:13 (NRSV)
No testing has overtaken you that is not common to everyone. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tested beyond your strength, but with the testing he will also provide the way out so that you may be able to endure it.

You are often under attack; your enemy continually tries to steal your faith. He tries to tempt you to sin, sometimes using your own desires or sometimes using outward circumstances. He wants to entice you to sin or to lose your faith and holiness. Through you, he wants to discredit the One, who made a show of him openly in triumph.

Even though temptation tries to lay hold of you, it cannot seize you unless you permit it. It cannot possess you if you will not receive it. And no temptation that comes against you is unique to just you. Satan has been using the same devices against mankind for centuries. If you feel yourself beginning to succumb to these enticements, do not fear or faint in your heart. Cry out to God for His help and He will be quick to come to your aid. He is faithful and you can trust Him. You know you can rely on Him. He will not permit or allow any of these trials to prevail over you. He will make you strong and powerful to stand against them or to flee from them. No matter what happens, He will provide you with an exit out of any and all temptations that come. He will help you endure them with patience. He will uphold you and keep you from falling. With His help, you can bear up under the burden and remain strong.

In the world you will have tribulations, but be of good cheer. Jesus has overcome the world. In Him, you can too!
