5-5-07 Jude 24, 25

Jude 24, 25 (NAS)
Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.

Great is your Lord Jesus and He is able and capable to guard and keep you. His eye is upon you and He watches you constantly; so that He can keep you safe. He protects you and will not let you perish. He does not want you to stumble or fall. It is not His will for you to go from a higher place to a lower one. He has no condemnation or judgment against you. He has made you upright and has given you authority and prosperity. You are not a disgrace to God. He holds a good opinion of you.

Almighty God is the One who makes you stand. In Him you are fixed, firm and established. You remain safe and intact through Him. You have a balanced life and you are steadfast in your faith. You are prepared for whatever may come. You have no reason to hesitate or waiver in fear, because the One who is Perfect Love is your Father. He has made you spotless and blameless; no one can find a blemish in you; for the blood of Jesus has washed you clean. He has formed the best plans for you. He has also determined the best means to execute them.

Because of the blood of His Son, He welcomes you into His presence. You can stand before His glory. You can behold His splendor and brightness. You observe His majesty, His magnificence, His dignity, His excellence and His grace, which causes you to rejoice exceedingly and are filled with abundant gladness.

God alone--the One who was, and is, and is to come--is your Savior and your Deliverer. He has all wisdom, all dominion and all power. Worship His majesty and give Him glory and honor now, at this time, and forever and ever! Amen!

5-2-07 Galatians 5:13

Galatians 5:13 (NAS)
For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.

Galatians 5:13 (NIVUS)
You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love.

Galatians 5:13 (Philips)
It is to freedom that you have been called, my brothers. Only be careful that freedom does not become mere opportunity for your lower nature. You should be free to serve each other in love.

You are part of a holy brotherhood of believers, born of the same Father, and united to them in a bond of affection. You were called and invited to join this brotherhood. The Lord called out your name on purpose, for He has a very special plan for your life. As your superior, He commands you with His word so that you carry out all of the duties that He requires of you.

But there is freedom in His commands. You have the liberty and freedom to live as you should, not to live as you please. You are no longer bound by the Mosaic Law, your old fleshly nature, or even by the devices of the enemy.

You are free to come and go as you please, but you must not use your liberty as a place of attack against anyone else, especially your brothers. Do not impulsively act hostilely or violently, giving into the fleshly, sinful passions of the old nature. Do not let your freedom separate you and destroy the fellowship that you enjoy with your brothers. Instead continue to abide in brotherly love and affection, always extending good will to everyone. Become a slave to the family of God, serving everyone by disregarding your own interests for the interests and concerns of others.

Walk in the steps of your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who humbled Himself and took on the form of a servant. As He has served you with His life, you must serve others. This is true freedom!

5-1-07 Galatians 5:1

Galatians 5:1 (NAS)
It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.

Galatians 5:1 (Philips)
PLANT your feet firmly therefore within the freedom that Christ has won for us, and do not let yourselves be caught again in the shackles of slavery.

Once you were a slave, held in bondage by your own sinful nature. You did as you pleased, not caring how or if it affected others near you. However, now you have been set free; you are no longer bound and a slave to sin. It can no longer dominate you. You are free to be who God created you to be!

You must now maintain your liberty by standing firm in it. You must be firmly established in your decision to receive that freedom that you have been freely given. Whether you are in the presence of those who would judge you or whether you are standing alone, you must stand still and immovable on the foundation of Christ Jesus. He will keep you safe and intact, for you stand in His authority and with His power to sustain you.

Do not let yourself be ensnared and entangled again with sin. Do not join yourself to anything that is in opposition to the Lord. Do not hold onto any evil, possessing it as your own. Do not continue to act from your old nature. Even though it wrestles with you for control, do not give into it again. Do not become its slave, yoked to it in bondage.
Put off the old man and put on the new! You have been set free. So stand, therefore, in that freedom that Jesus died to give you!

4-30-07 Philippians 4:6, 7

Philippians 4:6, 7 (NIVUS)
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4: 6, 7 (Philips)
Don’t worry over anything whatever; whenever you pray tell God every detail of your needs in thankful prayer, and the peace of God, which surpasses human understanding, will keep constant guard over your hearts and minds as they rest in Christ Jesus.

As a child of God, you do not need to be troubled with cares. Do not let your thoughts be divided which causes anxiety. If you begin to be troubled or anxious, pray! When you have a need, pray! In fact, pray about everything!

If there is something you want, desire, or long for, seek God and entreat Him on your own behalf. Let God have a thorough knowledge of your requests. Have a childlike confidence in your Heavenly Father! And always maintain a thankful and grateful heart, reminding yourself of the favors that God has done for you!

As you do this, the shalom of God, which brings security, safety, tranquility, prosperity, peace and harmony, will overcome all of your anxious thoughts--anything that your mind can understand, perceive, judge, or determine. It will guard and protect your heart from a hostile invasion--thoughts and ideas that are not in line with God's word and will. It will watch over your heart--the center of your physical and spiritual life--so that you can attain to all that God has planned for you.

Jesus Christ, Yeshua the Messiah, who cares for you and preserves your heart and mind, is your Prince of Peace!
Worship His Majesty!

4-29-07 Matthew 5:9

Matthew 5:9 (ASV)
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called sons of God.

Matthew 5:9 (Philips)
Happy are those who make peace, for they will be known as sons of God!

God always wants our highest good. When you act as He acts, you are in the place to receive that highest good, that happiness, and that prosperity.

God is a peacemaker. He has already made peace with mankind through His Son Jesus Christ. Because of his sin, man was at war and separated from God. However, Jesus gave His life to bring men near to God again. Now they, who were once enemies, are able to become God's friends.

You are a peacemaker, helping to end strife and to establish harmony in relationships--those between God and man and those between man and man. You minister His shalom to others, bringing wholeness into their lives and helping them to be made perfect. You have a spirit of reconciliation. You are a man of peace and you walk in peace!

Because you display God's peace-keeping nature in yourself and to others, God calls you by His name and makes you His son. He loves you, protects you, and bestows benefits on you. You are His descendant, a part of His blood line, and His heir.

Therefore, continue to keep the peace!
