10-14-07 Zephaniah 3:20

Zephaniah 3:20 (NAS)
"At that time I will bring you in, Even at the time when I gather you together; Indeed, I will give you renown and praise Among all the peoples of the earth, When I restore your fortunes before your eyes," Says the LORD.

Zephaniah 3:20 (NLT)
On that day I will gather you together and bring you home again. I will give you a good name, a name of distinction among all the nations of the earth. They will praise you as I restore your fortunes before their very eyes. I, the LORD, have spoken!"

You have had many experiences--some in which you made your fortune and some when you didn't. When the times were not the best, you thought they would go on forever; when the the times were good, you wanted them to go on forever. However, the very best times of your life were when Adonai was in control and you were trusting in His promises.

The Lord God brought and gathered you to Himself. Jesus led you to His Father's throne. He brought you near and appointed you a place in His Kingdom. He extended compassion to you and transformed you. Then He gave you a name and established your reputation. Through Him you received fame and glory.

He has made you a sign before the nations. You shine with the praises of God. Others liken your life to a hymn and song of adoration to Jehovah. They hear thanksgiving and boasting on your lips, for the Lord God has released you from your captivity. He has restored and repaired your life. He has repelled and defeated your enemies. He has reversed the curse that held you.

You have heard the word of the Lord proclaiming freedom and blessing on your life. You have seen the fulfillment of those words with your own eyes.

Therefore, keep your eyes open; there is more to come!

10-13-07 Isaiah 25:9

Isaiah 25:9 (NAS)
And it will be said in that day, 'Behold, this is our God for whom we have waited that He might save us. This is the LORD for whom we have waited; Let us rejoice and be glad in His salvation.'

Isaiah 25:9 (NLT)
In that day the people will proclaim, 'This is our God. We trusted in him, and he saved us. This is the LORD, in whom we trusted. Let us rejoice in the salvation he brings!'

Sometimes it seems that things delay in coming and at those times, you may be tempted to give up your faith. However, it is exactly then that you need to speak out the promises that Adonai has given you. In that day and hour, continue to boast in the Lord.

Then make a decision to wait and to continue to look for the fulfillment of God's promises. Keep your hope and expectation in the Lord your God. In your lingering, let your attitude be eager to receive all that He has for you.

Jesus is your Savior, the One who has delivered you from your sins. He is also the One who brings salvation to every area of your life, including your dreams and desires. He has given you freedom to keep on believing and victory in spite of the delay.

Rejoice in Jehovah as you continue to wait in patience. Exult and be glad in Him, for salvation and deliverance, welfare and prosperity are yours

10-11-07 Romans 15:1, 2

Romans 15:1, 2 (NAS)
Now we who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of those without strength and not just please ourselves. Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to his edification.
Romans 15:1, 2 (NLT)
We may know that these things make no difference, but we cannot just go ahead and do them to please ourselves. We must be considerate of the doubts and fears of those who think these things are wrong. We should please others. If we do what helps them, we will build them up in the Lord.

Adonai has made you strong, powerful, and capable. He has given you influence and you excel in all that He has given to do. You are able to bear up with fortitude and patience before any trial or calamity that you may encounter.

You, therefore, are in a good position to help others. In fact, you are indebted to your brothers and sisters to do so. It is to your advantage and profit to help carry those who are weak, infirm, feeble, and powerless. If you can sustain, uphold, and support another, you should be quick to do it. Help every one in his walk, especially when he thinks he is facing an impossible situation. When he feels powerless and impotent, you can support him with your strength.

You should not try to please yourself, but accommodate yourself to the desires and interests of others. Always try to raise and elevate others instead of yourself. You should strive to be good, pleasant, and agreeable to your neighbors and friends. Act in an upright and honorable way with all. Always try to build others, instead of tearing them down. By edifying your brothers and sisters, you act like Jesus your Lord.

10-08-07 Isaiah 41:18

Isaiah 41:18 (NAS)
I will open rivers on the bare heights, And springs in the midst of the valleys; I will make the wilderness a pool of water, And the dry land fountains of water.

Isaiah 41:18 (NLT)
I will open up rivers for them on high plateaus. I will give them fountains of water in the valleys. In the deserts they will find pools of water. Rivers fed by springs will flow across the dry, parched ground.

Who can make new out of old? Who can change the landscape with very little effort? Adonai, the Creator and the Lord, is able.
Therefore, when you feel like you are in a barren place, where there is nothing but bare rocks and no growth, do not let your feelings get the best of you. Jehovah will open up that rocky place and rivers and streams will flow forth.

If you believe you are traveling through a valley that stretches on and on like a plain, do not become discouraged. Even if it seems that you are being cloven in two and rent apart, maintain your hope, for the Lord your God will loosen fountains with life giving water to refresh and heal you.

When you find yourself in a wilderness, an uninhabited place, you do not need to fear. Adonai will transform that wilderness, placing pools and ponds of water there. He will make that desert live and bloom again.

So continue to trust God. You will see the abundant life that Yeshua promised. He will lift you on high and give you Living Water!

10-07-07 2 Chronicles 6:41

2 Chronicles 6:41 (NAS)
Now therefore arise, O LORD God, to Thy resting place, Thou and the ark of Thy might; let Thy priests, O LORD God, be clothed with salvation, and let Thy godly ones rejoice in what is good.
2 Chronicles 6:41 (NLT)
And now, O LORD God, arise and enter this resting place of yours, where your magnificent Ark has been placed. May your priests, O LORD God, be clothed with salvation, and may your saints rejoice in your goodness.

Rising up and resting seem to be totally opposite actions. Yet Jehovah is capable of both. He has arisen, coming on the scene to fulfill His purpose. Since His will has been fixed and established, the Lord God has settled down and remains at rest. Adonai's Ark, the symbol of His everlasting covenant of mercy for man, abides in that place of rest. It is also a picture of Jehovah's mighty power--a strength that can create or destroy-- that remains at peace.

From that resting place, the Lord Jehovah calls His priests, those who minister and serve before Him. You are one of these ministers. You have cried out to the Lord, seeking His help. He has heard you and has clothed you with His salvation and deliverance. He has liberated you and made you victorious.

Now you are counted among His faithful. He has made you holy and set you apart for Himself. You are called saint, for the Lord God has been kind and good to you. He has set you above any reproach or shame. You rejoice because your life is good and pleasant. It is rich and has value.
