6-2-07 Psalms 18:15

Psalms 18:15 (NIVUS)
The valleys of the sea were exposed and the foundations of the earth laid bare at your rebuke, O LORD, at the blast of breath from your nostrils.

Psalms 18:15 (NLT)
Then at your command, O LORD, at the blast of your breath, the bottom of the sea could be seen, and the foundations of the earth were laid bare.

Psalms 18:15 (NRSV)
Then the channels of the sea were seen, and the foundations of the world were laid bare at your rebuke, O LORD, at the blast of the breath of your nostrils.

Psalms 18:15 (NAS)
Then the channels of water appeared, And the foundations of the world were laid bare At Thy rebuke, O LORD, At the blast of the breath of Thy nostrils.

Technology changes so rapidly that something that is new today could be obsolete next month. Men are proud of their knowledge and new inventions. In fact, like the people of the time of the Tower of Babel, people today think that there is nothing that they cannot do, especially when they combine their talents together. However, there are still things that God keeps mysterious and secret from human beings.

The Lord God placed each channel of water and He is the Creator of each mighty river. He gathered all the water together for each valley stream. He knows their courses and their flood levels. Jehovah the Lord also laid the foundation of the earth. He brought the world forth with only His word and made it in habitable for mankind.

However, at the Almighty's rebuke and reproof, He could denude and strip bare the whole planet. He is able to send anyone into exile and captivity. With a mere puff of His breath, He is able to uncover the foundations of the earth for all to see. This is something that men could never do, for only Adonai the Most High God is all powerful and all knowing.

It is only because of His mercies that you and the rest of mankind are not consumed. Therefore, you should revere Him, who with the breath of His nostrils, can give life or take it away. He alone is Lord and God!

6-1-07 Hebrews 7: 22, 24, 25

Hebrews 7: 22, 24, 25 (NRSV)
Accordingly Jesus has also become the guarantee of a better covenant.... he holds his priesthood permanently, because he continues forever.....Consequently he is able for all time to save those who approach God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.

Jesus Christ became our great High Priest. He came into this natural existence, from His supernatural realm, for this very purpose. Only the High Priest could offer the sacrifices for the atonement of sins, but those merely mortal high priests had to offer atonement continually year by year. Jesus, however, offered Himself once for all. He was the sacrifice and He was also the One who offered up the sacrifice. Through His decision, you have forgiveness and remission of your sins.

From before the very foundation of the world God had already planned for a better covenant. So He sent His Son to take His place in history. When He came on the scene, Yeshua became the surety or sponsor of this new covenant, which was more useful and more advantageous to you. This more excellent contract, which was drawn up between the Father and the Son, had more strength, more power, and more might than the previous one. Through the Messiah's finished work, the executing of His will and testament, man received more dominion over the enemy.

The Lord remains forever. He abides eternally at the right hand of the throne of His Heavenly Father. He has not changed and will not change throughout the future. Because He is always the same, His priesthood will never pass to another. He will never forsake you or abandon you.

Jehovah is strong and powerful. He is able and capable to keep you safe and sound from danger and destruction. As your deliverer, He will keep you well and healthy. He has made you complete and perfect. You can approach and come near to God because Jesus’ work is finished and complete. He will keep you eternally; your salvation is secure in Him.

Now it is His delight and pleasure to pray and intercede on your behalf. He lives to consult and bring supplication to His Father for you. His prayers always hit the mark, like an accomplished athlete who shoots an arrow or throws a javelin and always hits his target. His intercessions for you produce fruit. They bring forth what was conceived in faith, as a woman is delivered of her baby, at the proper time.

So rejoice, Jesus is praying for you. The desires He has placed in your heart will come to pass!

5-31-07 1 Peter 3:15

1 Peter 3:15 (BBE)
But give honor to Christ in your hearts as your Lord; and be ready at any time when you are questioned about the hope which is in you, to give an answer in the fear of the Lord and without pride;

1 Peter 3:15 (NAS)
but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence;

1 Peter 3:15 (NIVUS)
But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,

1 Peter 3:15 (Philips)
Simply concentrate on being completely devoted to Christ in your hearts. Be ready at any time to give a quiet and reverent answer to any man who wants a reason for the hope that you have within you.

You have made Jesus Christ Lord, the One who has deciding power over your life. Therefore, acknowledge Him in all things, venerating and honoring Him. You must always see Him as holy; do not let your relationship become familiar and commonplace. Always cherish what He does and hold Him in tender affection in your heart.

Sometimes you may be confronted by men who will question your faith. You must prepare yourself for these occasions and be ready when they come, knowing without a doubt what you believe.

People wonder why you constantly have hope and are expecting good things to happen. They see your confidence and want what you have. When they ask about your faith, you have the advantage since the very Word of God resides inside of you and His wisdom flows through you. You are able to calculate and well consider your defense. However, you should make your argument with meekness, allowing your mild disposition, which is controlled by the Holy Spirit, shine through your words. Always speak with reverence and fear of the Holy One, showing by your words and actions that He is the One True God who is worthy of our worship

5-30-07 1 Chronicles 17:23-27

1 Chronicles 17:23-27 (NAS)
And now, O LORD, let the word that Thou hast spoken concerning Thy servant and concerning his house, be established forever, and do as Thou hast spoken.” And let Thy name be established and magnified forever, saying, ‘The LORD of hosts is the God of Israel, even a God to Israel; and the house of David Thy servant is established before Thee.’ “For Thou, O my God, hast revealed to Thy servant that Thou wilt build for him a house; therefore Thy servant hath found courage to pray before Thee.” And now, O LORD, Thou art God, and hast promised this good thing to Thy servant. "And now it hath pleased Thee to bless the house of Thy servant, that it may continue forever before Thee; for Thou, O LORD, hast blessed, and it is blessed forever.

The Lord Jehovah has spoken words over you. He has promised and commanded certain things concerning your life to come to pass. Although His declarations sounded like singing to you, your enemies heard warnings and threats, causing them to run in fear.

His words were spoken not only for you, but also for your family. He has established you and your household. He supports, upholds, and nourishes you. In Him you and your family are sure and lasting. He has declared now and forever that He will hide you in His secret place.

Like David of old, you can come to the Lord God and remind Him of those things that He has whispered in your ear. Repeat those mysteries that He has revealed to you as you pray. Confess those promises of goodness, welfare, and prosperity that He already said to you.

It is His delight and pleasure to bless you. He has been willing from the beginning of time to show you His favor and good will. He is determined that you and your family will perpetually receive blessings and benefits from His hand. He wants your life to be full of pleasure and happiness.

He is faithful to His word. What He has said He would bless will be blessed forever! So rejoice, for you and your sons are abundantly blessed!

5-29-07 Isaiah 55:10, 11

Isaiah 55:10, 11(NAS)
For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, And do not return there without watering the earth, And making it bear and sprout, And furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater; So shall My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the matter, for which I sent it.

Isaiah 55:10, 11(NIVUS)
As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

You have watched it rain and stood in the middle of a snow storm. You have seen that they both come from above, falling from the sky. You have never observed the process reverse itself. And you will never see rain or snow rise and return to the heavens.

God sends both rain and snow to water the earth. and the earth drinks its fill. It is then able to bear fruit. The combination of earth and water causes plants to sprout and grow up. As they grow, they produce seeds. Some of those seeds are planted; whereas some are made into bread to be devoured by men. The cycle of seed-time and harvest is perpetuated continuously.

It is the same with God's word. He always has a goal in mind when He declares His promises. He sends them forth with a definite purpose and an intended result. His word never turns back to Him and is never defeated, repulsed, hindered or rejected. No idle word ever leaves His mouth. His words are not vain or empty. They are not worthless.

God's word always accomplishes what He fashioned it to do; it always produces. Whatever He appoints and ordains His word to do is what it does. The Father delights and takes pleasure in seeing His word bear fruit. His word spoken to and for His people causes them to prosper and succeed. It is profitable for them and helps them to make progress.

So continue to stand on God's word. What He has spoken to you, He will bring to pass. He sent it to you to prosper you and give you abundance. You will see the fulfillment of His word in your life!

5-28-07 Deuteronomy 28:7

Deuteronomy 28:7 (NAS)
The LORD will cause your enemies who rise up against you to be defeated before you; they shall come out against you one way and shall flee before you seven ways.

The Lord Jehovah is always with you in battle. When your enemies, those who are hostile to you, arise against you, showing themselves powerful, your Messiah will deliver them up to be stricken and smitten before your face. He will turn their faces away from you. He will recompense you for all the attacks that you have suffered from them.
You can rest easy even though they come out against you with the one unified purpose to steal from you, to destroy you and to kill you.

If they march towards you, with their deadly arrows trained on you, do not fear! They have not won the battle! The Lord Sabbaoth fights for you! These dispensers of fear will tremble before Him and flee, desperately trying to escape His wrath. He will break their ranks and they shall run away in seven different directions.

You shall see their defeat and rejoice in the Lord your God!

5-27-07 Isaiah 32: 17, 18

Isaiah 32: 17, 18 (NAS)
And the work of righteousness will be peace, And the service of righteousness, quietness and confidence forever. Then my people will live in a peaceful habitation, And in secure dwellings and in undisturbed resting places

Isaiah 32: 17, 18 (NIVUS)
The fruit of righteousness will be peace; the effect of righteousness will be quietness and confidence forever. My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest.

Isaiah 32: 17, 18 (NRSV)
The effect of righteousness will be peace, and the result of righteousness, quietness and trust forever. My people will abide in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places.

By the blood of your Savior Jesus, you have been made righteous. Everything about you reveals how you have been changed in your conduct and character. The most significant sign that you are righteous is the peace that envelops you. Your life testifies of the soundness and completeness that now belong to you. You have been restored and have a contentment that you never had before. You are at rest inside and out. Nothing disturbs your tranquility for you are in covenant with the Lord your God. He has hidden you securely and safely within Himself forever.

Even your nationality has been changed. You were once a citizen of this world of darkness, but now you are an alien here. You belong to the kingdom of heaven and are kin to Jesus Christ. You reside and dwell in peace, a state of welfare, health and prosperity. You feel as secure as a flock of sheep pastured in a beautiful meadow under the close watch of their shepherd. Your resting place is a safe refuge and you have bold trust and confidence in the One who is your Shepherd. In Jehovah Shalom, there is nothing missing and nothing broken; your life is whole again!
