11-28-07 Luke 21:15

Luke 21:15 (NAS)
for I will give you utterance and wisdom which none of your opponents will be able to resist or refute.

Luke 21:15 (Philips)
I will give you such eloquence and wisdom that none of your opponents will be able to resist or contradict it.

You have probably experienced times when you were expected to say something, but you found you had no words. Or perhaps the words you spoke were the wrong words. At those times you may have felt embarrassed and insecure. In order to save yourself, you have avoided similar situations.

However, avoidance is not the solution. Instead you should turn to the Lord, seeking His guidance and help. You know that He will give you what you need. As you wait on Him, He will put the proper words in your mouth and give you the wisdom in how to speak them.

When you face your adversaries, those who oppose you, you will speak words as sharp as a sword, which will cut and smite your foes. The power in your words will overcome those whose only purpose is to ruin and destroy. As you skillfully speak only what Yeshua gives you to say, your enemies will not be able to gainsay your speech. They will no longer be able to withstand and resist you, for your utterances will render them powerless.

11-27-07 Matthew 10:16

Matthew 10:16 (NAS)
Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves; therefore be shrewd as serpents, and innocent as doves.

Matthew 10:16 (Philips)
Here am I sending you our like sheep with wolves all round you; so be as wise as serpents and harmless as doves.

Matthew 10:16 (NLT)
Look, I am sending you out as sheep among wolves. Be as wary as snakes and harmless as doves.

You have been called. You have been anointed. You have been appointed. Jesus has chosen you to go into all the world and to preach the gospel. He has set you apart as a minister in His service.

You have undergone intense preparation and now you are fit for what Jehovah is calling you to do. He has equipped you and provided all that you need, whether you stand before the great or the common man.

Now the Lord has sent you out as a gentle sheep in the midst of wolves. However, you need not fear these cruel, greedy, rapacious, and destructive ones. Although it looks as if you have no defense, the Lord has given you His very own authority.

However,Yeshua asks one thing of you as you go out. He wants you to act wisely and prudently. He has given you the intelligence that you need to make quick decisions, for He has placed in the center of your heart and mind the perception and correct judgment to carry out His will. Be as cunning as that ancient serpent the devil, but do not let his evil nature mix with yours. Keep yourself free from guile and maintain your innocence. Remain pure and harmless as a dove.

11-25-07 Mark 6:34

Mark 6:34 (NAS)
And when He went ashore, He saw a great multitude, and He felt compassion for them because they were like sheep without a shepherd; and He began to teach them many things.

Mark 6:34 (Philips)
When Jesus disembarked he saw the large crowd and his heart was touched with pity for them because they seemed to him like sheep without a shepherd. And he settled down to teach them about many things.
Mark 6:34 (NLT)
A vast crowd was there as he stepped from the boat, and he had compassion on them because they were like sheep without a shepherd. So he taught them many things.

Sometimes circumstances can cause you to believe that you are forgotten and that you are just wandering around trying to survive. You may believe that Adonai does not care about you because you do not see what you want to see. However, do not let yourself continue to meditate on these thoughts.

From the word of God, you know that Yeshua was often moved with compassion. He would look at the crowds of people and feel tender mercy and kindness for them. He could see their miseries and afflictions and have an intense desire to help them. He knew He was the only One who could save them.

He feels the same good will towards you and wants to show you the same mercy and compassion that He did for those He walked among. He has turned His eyes upon you and observes every detail of your life. Because He cherishes you, He always pays attention to you.

He is your Shepherd, who holds all the control and care over your life. He watches over you and defends you against any one who attacks you. He heals your wounds and sicknesses. If you are lost or trapped, He is the One who finds and saves you. You can trust Him completely because He loves you and has shared His life with you.

Now He teaches and instructs you in His word. He instills His doctrine into your soul, so that you no longer have to wander aimlessly. Therefore, let your mind remain at rest. The Lord is taking care of you.
