5-17-08 Malachi 2:6 God'sTrue Instruction Brings Peace and Uprightness

Malachi 2:6 ((NAS)
True instruction was in his mouth, and unrighteousness was not found on his lips; he walked with Me in peace and uprightness, and he turned many back from iniquity.

Malachi 2:6 ((NLT)
They passed on to the people all the truth they received from me. They did not lie or cheat; they walked with me, living good and righteous lives, and they turned many from lives of sin.

For a long time, you sought and looked for someone or something in which you could trust and believe. Then you discovered the law of God. As you were taught and learned from Adonai's statutes and precepts, you found something trust-worthy. You knew that this was something that could make you stable and establish you in faithfulness. It would build you up and support you. Permanence and quiet would mark your life. You developed assurance in your faith so that you could continue steadfast and sure.
Once you were firm and fixed in your faith, then you were ready to share this Truth with others. You opened your mouth to speak forth the word of God and the wind of the Holy Spirit took it and scattered it to the corners of the earth. It went to those who were living on the edge of a precipice. It found an entry to those living in holes. It blew forth to those for which it was appointed and they ate of it and were nourished. Whether you speak it or whether you sing in a beautiful tenor voice, God's word coming out of your mouth is a two-edged sword.
People learned that they could trust what you said, for nothing immoral or unjust was found on your lips. Your language was not perverted, unrighteous, or wicked. You would not let the words that you delivered cross over any boundaries that God's word had established. You always stayed well within the margins of righteousness in your speech.
Now you walk with Adonai in safety and peace. You exercise justice and equity with those you meet. As you go forward following the commands of the Lord your God, your way becomes straight, prosperous, and pleasant. When you travel with God's favor resting on you, you make many friends. You continue in health and are well and happy.
Since your life and your words give evidence of God's goodness and His truth, you are able to turn others away from the perversity and evil of their sins. Those who are rebellious and crooked see your faithfulness and your straight walk. They come to you to help them break these bondages from their lives. As you begin to build them up in God's word, these formerly lost ones will lay down their wicked desires and take upon themselves the righteousness of God, for you have brought them back home again.
