10-28-06 Proverbs 2: 8, 9

Proverbs 2: 8, 9 (KJ21)
He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of His saints. Then shalt thou understand righteousness and judgment and equity, yea, every good path.

Proverbs 2: 8, 9 (NAS)
Guarding the paths of justice, And He preserves the way of His godly ones. Then you will discern righteousness and justice And equity and every good course.

Proverbs 2: 8, 9 (NIVUS)
For he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones. Then you will understand what is right and just and fair— every good path.

Proverbs 2: 8, 9 (NLT)
He guards the paths of justice and protects those who are faithful to him. Then you will understand what is right, just, and fair and you will know how to find the right course of action every time.

There are certain things that belong to Adonai the Lord. Although He does delegate authority in certain areas, the ultimate decision lies in His hands. One of these is the process of judgment. The Lord has given judges and courts within individual countries the power and authority to keep the laws of the land, but they have no power or authority to make decisions regarding the eternal things of the Kingdom of heaven. God reserves this right for Himself.

The Almighty guards and protects the path of His judgment. He is the One who makes the final verdict, concerning your life. He is One who preserves you through His favorable sentence. Through His decrees, you receive justice and vindication. The Lord your God is your Avenger and Defender, a hedge of thorns round about you.

You are godly and holy, for Adonai has had mercy on you. Now you walk and talk with Him. As you go along, you show others the kindness that the Almighty has shown you. Ever since the Lord Jehovah has bent down to you, you live by His grace. You are an inferior being who has been blessed by the Most High.

Because you abide and dwell with God, you are able to distinguish and understand what is right. You know that there is concord between you and the Judge of the universe; you are now in agreement with Him. You are on a good path that is even and smooth, a path that leads to prosperity and pleasantness. Where there was once injustice, now you have equity and equality. Life is sweet.

10-27-06 Psalms 11: 6, 7

Psalms 11: 6, 7 (KJ21)
Upon the wicked He shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and a horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup. For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; His countenance doth behold the upright.

Psalms 11: 6, 7 (NAS)
Upon the wicked He will rain snares; Fire and brimstone and burning wind will be the portion of their cup. For the LORD is righteous; He loves righteousness; The upright will behold His face.

Psalms 11: 6, 7 (NIVUS)
On the wicked he will rain fiery coals and burning sulfur; a scorching wind will be their lot. For the LORD is righteous, he loves justice; upright men will see his face.

Psalms 11: 6, 7 (NLT)
He rains down blazing coals on the wicked, punishing them with burning sulfur and scorching winds. For the LORD is righteous, and he loves justice. Those who do what is right will see his face.

You probably know that the fate of the wicked man, who refuses to repent and bow his knee to the Lord Most High, is vastly different than yours. You have submitted your life to the Lord Jesus Christ and you have a bright, beautiful future. However, these evil, violent men and women will be snared in the net that Adonai has spread before them. God will rain flaming hot fire and sulfur upon them, for they have aroused His anger. He shall send a horrible, violent wind to destroy their lives, for they have lived their lives in vanity. When the Lord God weighs them in the balance, these wicked criminals will find their portion is not what they expected. Their cups will be eternally filled with the same substance that they gave during their lives.

Jehovah is righteous and just; He loves righteousness, justice, and virtue. He sets His affection on you, for you have been cleansed and made right. You are constantly in His sight and His face is always turned in your direction. You are pleasing to Him. Because the Lord your God has made you upright, you now walk a straight and prosperous path. Adonai esteems you and will bless your future. There is no fire and brimstone laid up for you.

10-26-06 Psalms 11: 4- 5

Psalms 11: 4, 5 (KJ21)
The LORD is in His holy temple! The LORD’S throne is in heaven! His eyes behold; His eyelids test the children of men! The LORD trieth the righteous; but the wicked and him that loveth violence, His soul hateth.

Psalms 11: 4, 5 (NAS)
The LORD is in His holy temple; the LORD’S throne is in heaven; His eyes behold, His eyelids test the sons of men. The LORD tests the righteous and the wicked, And the one who loves violence His soul hates.

Psalms 11: 4, 5 (NIVUS)
The LORD is in his holy temple; the LORD is on his heavenly throne. He observes the sons of men; his eyes examine them. The LORD examines the righteous, but the wicked and those who love violence his soul hates.

Psalms 11: 4, 5 (NLT)
But the LORD is in his holy Temple; the LORD still rules from heaven. He watches everything closely, examining everyone on earth. The LORD examines both the righteous and the wicked. He hates everyone who loves violence.

Jehovah is the eternal God, who is your sovereign Lord and Master. He has the ruler-ship over your life, for He is supreme over all else. He is holy and pure. He is sacred and there is none other like Him. He dwells in His palatial temple: there He endures in power and might. Jehovah is seated on His lofty throne in heaven, His throne that is covered with His glory. Even though He is hidden from your view, His eye gazes with pleasure on you. He is always contemplating and beholding you, as you would look upon and enjoy a beautiful landscape. At the dawning of the day, Adonai examines and tests you as His child. He also investigates and tries the activities of the sons of men.

Because you are loved of the Lord and righteous, cleansed and made right by the blood of the Lamb. The Lord your God looks upon you to prove that you are just and law abiding. He does not do this just to show your flaws, but also to test your strength. Like metals are continually tested until they are perfect for their use, so are you tried.

The wicked, those who are morally wrong, guilty and condemned, do not receive the love of God. In fact they have made themselves enemies and foes of the Most High. These love violence rather than righteousness. Every thing they obtain is through unjust gain. They are oppressors who maltreat others. The Lord sees their actions and hates them. When He tries them, it will be for punishment instead of blessing.

10-25-06 Psalms 11:1-3

Psalms 11:1-3 (KJ21)
(To the chief musician: A Psalm of David.)
In the LORD I put my trust; how say ye to my soul, "Flee as a bird to your mountain, for lo, the wicked bend their bow and make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart; if the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

Psalms 11:1-3 (NAS)
(For the choir director. A Psalm of David.)
In the LORD I take refuge; How can you say to my soul, "Flee as a bird to your mountain; For, behold, the wicked bend the bow, They make ready their arrow upon the string, To shoot in darkness at the upright in heart. If the foundations are destroyed, What can the righteous do?

Psalms 11:1-3 (NIVUS)
(For the director of music. Of David.)
In the LORD I take refuge. How then can you say to me: "Flee like a bird to your mountain. For look, the wicked bend their bows; they set their arrows against the strings to shoot from the shadows at the upright in heart. When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?

Psalms 11:1-3 (NLT)
(For the choir director: A psalm of David)
I trust in the LORD for protection. So why do you say to me, "Fly to the mountains for safety! The wicked are stringing their bows and setting their arrows in the bowstrings. They shoot from the shadows at those who do right. The foundations of law and order have collapsed. What can the righteous do?

David, the beloved King of Israel, was also beloved of the Jehovah the Lord. He understood and accepted the love of God. Through his life and experiences, you can learn and grow in your own relationship with the Lord.

Like David, you should learn to flee to Adonai the Lord for protection. He is a refuge for those who confide in and trust in God. He is your confidence and your security. Therefore, when your soul is cast down and afraid, when you feel like a defenseless little bird, you should fly to the mountain, where you can take refuge. There you will disappear from sight of your enemies and you will be safe.

Using all of their strength, the wicked may bend their bows against you. Because of their cruelty and severity, they may prepare their arrows, intending to pierce and wound you, since you are upright and your heart is centered on Almighty God. The wicked see you walking in the light on a straight path that is pleasant and prosperous. They, however, are of the darkness and desire to shoot those who are of the light. But you should not let their evil desires destroy your foundation of trust in Jehovah. He remains your purpose and moral support. The Lord has set and appointed you to prosper. He has cleansed and made you right, so that your enemies cannot pull you down and break you in pieces. They cannot ruin or overthrow you, for you practice your faith and have set your hope in the Most High God.

10-24-06 Job 17:9

Job 17:9 (KJ21)
The righteous also shall hold to his way, and he that hath clean hands shall be stronger and stronger.

Job 17:9 (NAS)
Nevertheless the righteous shall hold to his way, And he who has clean hands shall grow stronger and stronger.

Job 17:9 (NIVUS)
Nevertheless, the righteous will hold to their ways, and those with clean hands will grow stronger.

Job 17:9 (NLT)
The righteous will move onward and forward, and those with pure hearts will become stronger and stronger.

Sometimes, as you are going on your way, you may run into a boulder in the way--a test that seems insurmountable. At those times, as a righteous child of God, you need to seize and hold on to your road. You should possess what God has already given you, for it is your portion. Now is not the time to change your mode of action, but continue treading the path that is set before you. You should keep your conversation in line with God's word; it will lead and guide you as before. As you continue, you will thresh the harvest promised to you.

Jehovah the Lord has made you pure, bright and sound. You are now uncontaminated, innocent, and holy. God has pronounced you clean. He has given you power and direction for your life, but you must continue to wait on and yield to His will. As you do, you grow stronger and stronger, day by day. The Lord keeps you alert, so that you can courageously face what comes your way. Being steadfast in your mind, you are established and fortified. As you prevail against your enemies, you will constantly see increase.

10-23-06 Zechariah 10:12

Zechariah 10:12 (KJ21)
And I will strengthen them in the LORD; and they shall walk up and down in His name," saith the LORD.

Zechariah 10:12 (NAS)
And I shall strengthen them in the LORD, And in His name they will walk," declares the LORD.

Zechariah 10:12 (NIVUS)
I will strengthen them in the LORD and in his name they will walk," declares the LORD.

Zechariah 10:12 (NLT)
I will make my people strong in my power, and they will go wherever they wish by my authority. I, the LORD, have spoken!

Have you ever wondered why you are here? Do you have a purpose or should you just "eat, drink, and be merry for tomorrow you die"? The Most High God created you to prevail over the Kingdom of darkness, through the strength and power that He will give you. God's original intent for you was that you be great and mighty as you lived in covenant with Him.

The Lord Jehovah purposed that you should walk up and down in the land in such a way that your manner of life would lead others out of darkness. He created you to live and to proclaim the name of the Lord. Your main goal should be to reveal the fame, reputation, and glory of the Lord. You have been set in place to extend God's compassion and to direct others toward the Almighty. He has transformed your life and in like manner, He desires the transformation of others. He has placed you on the runway, so others can see His latest fashion. You are a sign and memorial of His grace and mercy and He wants to tell everyone about how He extended His goodness to you.

10-22-06 Zechariah 10:6

Zechariah 10:6 (KJ21)
And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them back to place them, for I have mercy upon them. And they shall be as though I had not cast them off, for I am the LORD their God and will hear them.

Zechariah 10:6 (NAS)
And I shall strengthen the house of Judah, And I shall save the house of Joseph, And I shall bring them back, Because I have had compassion on them; And they will be as though I had not rejected them, For I am the LORD their God, and I will answer them.

Zechariah 10:6 (NIVUS)
I will strengthen the house of Judah and save the house of Joseph. I will restore them because I have compassion on them. They will be as though I had not rejected them, for I am the LORD their God and I will answer them.

Zechariah 10:6 (NLT)
I will strengthen Judah and save Israel; I will reestablish them because I love them. It will be as though I had never rejected them, for I am the LORD their God, who will hear their cries.

Being in the world, you may have a difficult time realizing that you are not of the world. In your flesh, you know you are weak and insignificant, but according to God's word, you are strong, mighty, and great. You are a member of the house and family of Almighty God and in His house, you are celebrated. You have learned to revere and worship God with extended hands; praise and thanksgiving is continually found on your lips.

The Lord is constantly adding to your house. His salvation, freedom, and victory are yours in abundance. Because you are safe in His presence, you are open to be all that God has made you to be. Jehovah the Lord is your Avenger and Defender; He augments your life, so that you continually increase. Adonai always exceeds your expectations.

The Most High God puts you in the place where you will excel. There you will settle down in quiet rest. God's heart is filled with love and compassion for you. He shows you mercy and does not push you aside. He will not reject, forsake, or fail you. Instead of casting you off, Yahweh draws you near. He is your Lord and your Master, who pays attention to you. Adonai responds to your cries. He lifts you up and sings over you, for you are His Beloved child
