11-17-07 Proverbs 3:15-17

Proverbs 3:15-17 (NLT)
Wisdom is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. She offers you life in her right hand, and riches and honor in her left. She will guide you down delightful paths; all her ways are satisfying.

Proverbs 3:15-17 (NAS)
She is more precious than jewels; And nothing you desire compares with her. Long life is in her right hand; In her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are pleasant ways, And all her paths are peace.

Of all the valuable things that Adonai has given you, wisdom is one that He tells you to prize. You gain wisdom through spending time with the Lord, developing godly fear. You find more wisdom in God's word, which makes you shrewd, prudent, and skillful. Then if you still lack understanding and discernment, the Lord instructs you to ask Him for it and He will give it to you generously. He will not reproach you for it.

The wisdom that God gives is precious and rare. Like jewels, it is splendid and glorious. Since you esteem Jehovah's wisdom, it will make you influential. There is nothing that you desire or take pleasure in that can equal what wisdom can do for you.
Your life can be prolonged when you live according to wisdom, for she holds that benefit in her right hand. It will also allow you to use forbearance and self restraint, as you wait patiently for all that the Lord has for you.

From the blessing that she holds in her left hand, you will be enriched and receive abundant wealth. This will lead you to a place of honor and dignity. Wisdom will give you a good reputation.

The path that wisdom takes you on is a pleasant and delightful way. You will find beauty and favor on your journey. Sweetness and loveliness will also be yours. As you tread along you will find peace and safety. All will be well with you and you will complete all that you set out to do. As you finish your life, you will be whole, sound, and contented.

11-16-07 Exodus 34:24

Exodus 34:24 (NAS)
For I will drive out nations before you and enlarge your borders, and no man shall covet your land when you go up three times a year to appear before the LORD your God.
Exodus 34:24 (NLT)
No one will attack and conquer your land when you go to appear before the LORD your God those three times each year. I will drive out the nations that stand in your way and will enlarge your boundaries.

You do not need to concern yourself over any nations or any people, especially those who do not have faith in Adonai. The Lord your God will take possession of their lands and give them to you. He will seize them and they will be devoured. Destruction and ruin will be theirs.
However, Jehovah will enlarge your territory and increase your borders. No other man will covet what God has given you, even though it is desirable and precious. The Lord will protect your land.

Do not fear when you need to leave your lands to be about the Lord's business. He will watch over them, as your care taker. No one will ever be able to disinherit you and take possession of what belongs to you. Therefore, rejoice in the Lord, for you know God only has good in store for you.

11-14-07 Hebrews 6:11

Hebrews 6:11 (NAS)
And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence so as to realize the full assurance of hope until the end,

Hebrews 6:11 (Philips)
It is our earnest wish that every one of you should show a similar keenness in fully grasping the hope that is within you, until the end.

Hebrews 6:11 (NLT)
Our great desire is that you will keep right on loving others as long as life lasts, in order to make certain that what you hope for will come true.

Before you dedicated your life to Yeshua as your Lord and Messiah, you had only fearful expectations. You could see nothing but evil surrounding you. Your heart was filled with despair.
Now you are fully assured that Adonai desires nothing but good for you. Confident expectations and a joyful demeanor are your norm. You are lacking in nothing and you fulfill all that the Lord gives you. You have fixed your hope on the One who is the foundation of your faith. And you are certain that your faith will not go unrewarded.

Therefore, be diligent to carry out the Lord's plan for your life. Strive with earnestness to conquer and vanquish your enemies. Continue to run with haste until you see the finish of your course. Your patient endurance will bring about God's purpose.

11-12-07 Psalms 10:17

Psalms 10:17 (NAS)
O LORD, Thou hast heard the desire of the humble; Thou wilt strengthen their heart, Thou wilt incline Thine ear

Psalms 10:17 (NLT)
LORD, you know the hopes of the helpless. Surely you will listen to their cries and comfort them.

You know that Adonai is omniscient, knowing all things. Therefore, you should be aware that He hears everything in your heart -- the smallest unspoken thing, every sigh. He pays attention and is interested in all there is about you. He understands every desire, wish, and longing of your heart.

Jehovah knows that you are humble, for you realize that you are weak and need His strength to support and uphold you. No matter how low or afflicted you feel, you turn to God for His help, seeking His answers. Then the Lord makes your heart stable and steadfast. He directs your soul in the right direction, causing it to be firmly established, fixed, and secure. He gives you the strength to endure.

The Lord your God has uncovered His ears to hear your prayers. He inclines His head towards you and is attentive to your cries. When you call, you know He listens.

11-11-07 Romans 6:16

Romans 6:16 (NAS)
Do you not know that when you present yourselves to someone as slaves for obedience, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin resulting in death, or of obedience resulting in righteousness?

Romans 6:16 (Philips)
Just think what it would mean. You belong to the power which you choose to obey, whether you choose sin, whose reward is death, or God, obedience to whom means the reward of righteousness.

Romans 6:16 (NLT)
Don’t you realize that whatever you choose to obey becomes your master? You can choose sin, which leads to death, or you can choose to obey God and receive his approval.

Even after you choose Yeshua as your Messiah and Lord, He gives you the choice every day to serve and obey Him. You can put yourself at His disposal or you can choose to serve your old sinful nature. However, when you committed your life to Jesus, you voluntarily became His bond servant and permanently subjected yourself to Him as your Master.

Therefore, every day you should submit to and comply with Adonai's will. Listen and hearken to His voice. Attend to His commands. Do not submit yourself again to sin. You no longer have a share in the kingdom of darkness, which only leads to death

Do not wander from the path of uprightness and honor, which is your lot and destiny, by violating God's law. Always give your ear to the teaching of Adonai's word. Make it a point to learn, understand, and comprehend all that He says. He has made you acceptable to Himself. He approves of you; therefore, live your life with integrity, virtue, and honor.
