9-29-07 Jeremiah 9:24

Jeremiah 9:24 (NAS)
but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the LORD who exercises lovingkindness, justice, and righteousness on earth; for I delight in these things, "declares the LORD.

Jeremiah 9:24 (NLT)
Let them boast in this alone: that they truly know me and understand that I am the LORD who is just and righteous, whose love is unfailing, and that I delight in these things. I, the LORD, have spoken!

Adonai has caused you to shine with His favor and now you boast in Him, praising and adoring Him. It is easy for you to glorify Him because daily you gain more understanding and comprehension of the Lord your God. Your knowledge and perception of Him keeps bringing you prosperity and success. You have wisdom and you act circumspectly and prudently.
You have discovered that Jehovah deals with you in kindness, goodness, and faithfulness. He never reproaches or shames you. You know that He acts in mercy. For you, He is a house of mercy.

However, you also recognize that Adonai is a God of justice, who governs, vindicates and punishes men. He is the Law-Giver and Judge. He is the ruler of the universe and His rulings are just. He is righteous and has made you righteous as well. He has brought you into a state of truthfulness, making you right with Himself. He has graciously granted you salvation from your sins. In this He delights and takes pleasure.

9-28-07 1 Chronicles 28:9

1 Chronicles 28:9 (NAS)
As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a whole heart and a willing mind; for the LORD searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.
1 Chronicles 28:9 (NLT)
And Solomon, my son, get to know the God of your ancestors. Worship and serve him with your whole heart and with a willing mind. For the LORD sees every heart and understands and knows every plan and thought. If you seek him, you will find him. But if you forsake him, he will reject you forever.

At one point Solomon was the wisest man on the earth. If he had followed his father's instructions, he would have maintained that position. The principal thing for you, as for Solomon, is to get to know Adonai. You should recognize, acknowledge, and confess Him as your Father. God will reveal Himself to you as you spend time with Him. Through these experiences, you will soon be able to distinguish His voice from those that surround you.

As your relationship with Adonai develops, you will desire to serve Him. You will work to fulfill His will and desires in your life. However, as you do this labor, you must do so with your whole heart and mind, which the Lord has brought into a state of peace and wholeness. Because you are His son, you are safe and unharmed. He has made your life full and perfect. Now it is your desire to delight and please Him.

Jehovah, the Lord, searches your heart. He wants to know if you are actually fulfilling His demands. What He requires must be in your innermost being. He desires to be the center of your life. He perceives and understands what has formed and fashioned your thoughts. He has created your imaginations and purposes and desires you to conform to Him.

Therefore, you should seek His heart with care. Frequently go to Him and consult with Him. Direct your prayers and worship to Him. Study His ways and His Word. When you do this, you will find all for which you are searching. You will discover that Adonai is sufficient and enough for you. Your relationship with God will be secure.

However, if you forsake and desert your God, if you neglect and abandon Him, then Adonai will reject and spurn you. You will become odious to Him and a stench in His nostrils. He will cast you away forever.

9-25-07 Jeremiah 32:40

Jeremiah 32:40 (NAS)
And I will make an everlasting covenant with them that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; and I will put the fear of Me in their hearts so that they will not turn away from Me.
Jeremiah 32:40 (NLT)
And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, promising not to stop doing good for them. I will put a desire in their hearts to worship me, and they will never leave me.

Adonai was not willing to permit you to perish. He, therefore, made a way to eliminate that possibility. With His Son Jesus, the Lord God established His covenant, agreeing and pledging to forever hide and conceal you from evil. He took possession of your life and became your Lord and Master. He then transformed you into His confederate and friend.

You can be assured that He will never repent of His decision. He will not turn away from you. The Lord your God will not delay or hesitate to do you good. He wants you to be well and joyful. He will deal well with you, making your life beautiful and right.

Because of His love for you, to keep you from turning away from Him, Adonai has put the fear of God in your heart. Now, you stand in awe of Him. You revere and honor Him, acknowledging Him as Almighty God.

9-23-07 Proverbs 3:25, 26

Proverbs 3:25, 26 (NAS)
Do not be afraid of sudden fear, Nor of the onslaught of the wicked when it comes; For the LORD will be your confidence, And will keep your foot from being caught.

Proverbs 3:25, 26 (NLT)
You need not be afraid of disaster or the destruction that comes upon the wicked, for the LORD is your security. He will keep your foot from being caught in a trap.

Sometimes you are confronted by something unexpected and sudden, which could cause you to fear and dread. When you are surprised by these terrible things, you do not need to tremble. If you should see devastation, ruin, and waste come to the wicked--those that are hostile to Adonai--even then you do not have to be afraid. When condemnation comes to those guilty of sin and crime, you do not need to enter into their terror, for the Lord Jehovah, is your confidence and hope. He is the strength of your loins and saves you from foolishness and folly. He shall keep and guard you. He will protect you, for you are His treasure and He celebrates your life. He is the One who teaches your feet to walk. He will never allow you to be captured; your enemies cannot take hold of or seize you. You know that the Lord God is in charge of your life.
