6-3-06 Psalms 2:2-4

Psalms 2: 2-4 (KJ21)
The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD and against His Anointed, saying,
"Let us break Their bonds asunder, and cast away Their cords from us."
.He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh; the LORD shall hold them in derision

Psalms 2: 2-4 (NAS)
The kings of the earth take their stand, And the rulers take counsel together Against the LORD and against His Anointed:
"Let us tear their fetters apart, And cast away their cords from us!"
.He who sits in the heavens laughs, The Lord scoffs at them.

Psalms 2: 2-4 (NIVUS)
The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the LORD and against his Anointed One
"Let us break their chains," they say, "and throw off their fetters."
The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them.

Psalms 2: 2-4 (NLT)
The kings of the earth prepare for battle; the rulers plot together against the LORD and against his anointed one
"Let us break their chains," they cry, "and free ourselves from this slavery."
. But the one who rules in heaven laughs. The Lord scoffs at them.

There are kings and queens who have been set up in this earth to rule and reign over other men. Through their lineage and line, they are established on the throne, but that does not necessarily mean they are the best choice to lead. They set themselves to command and to judge. They, however, may only be throwing their weight around.

Many times they form alliances with others of their rank. They sit together in conclave to join and unite against the Lord Jehovah, who out ranks them in all things, for He is the King of kings and Lord of lords. He is the Almighty God's anointed Messiah.

These earthly kings often do not recognize His authority and seek ways to break away from His discipline, chastisement, and instruction. They cut the cords and bands of the Lord and cast them away, for they desire to separate themselves from Him and rule their own lives.

However Yahweh, the Lord God, is not threatened by their rebellion. He sits in the Heaven, where He dwells, and simply laughs at and mocks their puny efforts. The Master of the universe ridicules and derides these who are full of themselves, for He knows that they can never overthrow His throne.

Therefore, align yourself with the Lord Jehovah. When you do, your life will be firmly established and fixed. No kings of the earth will ever over throw and defeat you.

6-2-06 Psalms 2:7

Psalms 2:7 (KJ21)
I will declare the decree: The LORD hath said unto Me, ‘Thou art My Son; this day have I begotten Thee.

Psalms 2:7 (NAS)
I will surely tell of the decree of the LORD: He said to Me, ‘Thou art My Son, Today I have begotten Thee.

Psalms 2:7 (NIVUS)
I will proclaim the decree of the LORD: He said to me, "You are my Son; today I have become your Father.

Psalms 2:7 (NLT)
The king proclaims the LORD’s decree: "The LORD said to me, ‘You are my son. Today I have become your Father.

Most people speak of their accomplishments and exalt in the praises of others. When this happens, they feel like they have scored.

You, however, should not boast of yourself. Instead you should enumerate and recount all His decrees, for He has declared you to be His son. You are anointed with His Holy spirit and appointed to build up His name to others. He has shot you forth as an arrow to publish and report His promises. You are His fruitful child, who Adonai has made worthy to receive all the blessings of His house. The Most High labored to deliver you from the chains of sin, through the shed blood of His only Begotten Son. Now you are of the royal lineage of Jesus Christ.

6-1-06 Psalms 40:3

Psalms 40:3 (KJ21)
And He hath put a new song in my mouth; even praise unto our God; many shall see it and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.

Psalms 40:3 (NAS)
And He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God; Many will see and fear, And will trust in the LORD.

Psalms 40:3 (NIV)
He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the LORD.

Psalms 40:3 (NLT)
He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what he has done and be astounded. They will put their trust in the LORD.

He has entrusted you with His music and you are consecrated and dedicated to Him and His service. Therefore, He has given you a new song--a song that brings refreshing and repair.

With your mouth you can cleave in pieces the chains that the kingdom of darkness has placed on the lives of God's children.Your mouth is filled with praise, thanksgiving and adoration to God. You shine forth His light and your boast is in Him.

Many will observe, consider, and discern the truth in your words and in your songs. Then they will stand in reverence and awe of Jehovah. They will put their trust in Him and finally find the security and confidence that can only be found in Him!

You are His vessel to help build His Kingdom!

5-31-06 Psalms 1:6

Psalms 1:6 (KJ21)
For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous, but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Psalms 1:6 (NAS)
For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the wicked will perish.

Psalms 1:6 (NIVUS)
For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.

Psalms 1:6 (NLT)
For the LORD watches over the path of the godly, but the path of the wicked leads to destruction.

The Sovereign Lord Jehovah, who has always existed, is the Controller and Master of the universe. The Almighty knows and observes all things. He instructs and advises you in the course for your life. You have been cleansed and made right with God, for He recognizes the way you should take. As you trust Him, He leads and guides you on that path. You will not go astray when you follow His directions.

Those who are ungodly do not have the advantages that you have, as a righteous man. They continually violate God's laws and depart from the path of justice. They commit wrong and make trouble for others. Therefore, their journey leads them to destruction. They wander away from the Truth and follow lies. They lose their ways and perish in the process, for they have no escape and no way to flee from their sin.

5-30-06 Psalms 1:4 5

Psalms 1:4, 5 (KJ21)
The ungodly are not so, but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous

Psalms 1:4, 5 (NAS)
The wicked are not so, But they are like chaff which the wind drives away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.

Psalms 1:4, 5 (NIVUS)
Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous

Psalms 1:4, 5 (NLT)
But this is not true of the wicked. They are like worthless chaff, scattered by the wind. They will be condemned at the time of judgment. Sinners will have no place among the godly.

The Bible compares believers to trees, but it says something totally different about unbelievers. Those who are wicked and hostile to God are compared to chaff. Those who sin against God are of no real substance and are easily and always driven by the wind. They do nothing more than oppress and extort from others.

These who are guilty and condemned cannot even stand with those who have been justified. They are reckoned as offenders and condemned as sinners. They are unclean and have missed the path of right and duty. They live lives of loss and not gain. They have no witness or testimony to give of the Lord and His goodness. They have turned their backs to Him and are not members of His righteous congregation. Because of their repeated mistakes and rebellious act, they shall be punished.

5-29-06 Psalms 1:3

Psalms 1:3 (KJ21)
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Psalms 1:3 (NAS)
And he will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season, And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers.

Psalms 1:3 (NIVUS)
He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.

Psalms 1:3 (NLT)
They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season without fail. Their leaves never wither, and in all they do, they prosper.

An analogy compares two things that are different, but have similar qualities. The Bible uses many analogies to show you what God thinks of you and who you are in your walk of faith.

Trees, which are tall, strong, and enduring, are often used in Biblical analogies. If you delight in the Lord your God and in His word, you are compared to a tree. You have the strength and hardness of iron, for the Master Craftsman and Artisan has taken you in His hands. He has engraved His love and ownership on you.

He has made you grow tall and strong as a cedar or oak tree. You are planted beside rivers and channels of water; you have a constant supply to quench your thirst and refresh your life. You stand in the presence of Jehovah the Lord God and behold His face. He is your source and from Him springs your life.

Now you are constantly producing fruit; your yield is great, for the Most High God has provided all that you need. He has extended your borders and stretched out your land, so that there is more room for development. In the proper time and at the right season, your land will bring forth its fruit.

Like this tree, your leaves will not wither and fall. You will not fade, sink, or drop down, for God has made you to ascend and climb. You are not foolish and to be treated with contempt. You are designed to grow, excel, and be superior to sinful men. Adonai, the Almighty God, has exalted you.

Now whatever you do will prosper and succeed. You have been designed to advance and make progress. You are profitable to the Kingdom of God. Therefore, rush to accomplish all that God tells you to do, for you will not fail.

5-28-06 Psalms 1:2

Psalms 1:2 (KJ21)
but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on His law doth he meditate day and night.

Psalms 1:2 (NLT)
But they delight in doing everything the LORD wants; day and night they think about his law.

Psalms 1:2 (NAS)
But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night.

Psalms 1:2 (NIVUS)
But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.

Pleasure is the pursuit of many people. Whatever makes them feel good is what they seek. Often it does not matter if their pursuit hurts someone else. If it "feels good", they "do it".

There is a pursuit that is honorable and good. You should seek Jehovah the Lord, His direction, and instruction. As the laws of the land provide boundaries to keep you safe, so also the Law of the Lord gives you boundaries for every area of your life to keep you safe, happy, peaceful, and secure. So as you seek to know Him and His law, you will find pleasure and delight. God's word will become your desire and longing.

It is important that you meditate and muse over the word of the Almighty. Murmur and whisper His word to yourself day and night. You will receive guidance and instruction from the law of God hidden in your heart and spoken from your mouth. By doing this, your faith will grow and you will have the power to do all that God has called you to do. In this you will find great pleasure and delight
