3-17-07 Isaiah 60:1

Isaiah 60:1 (KJ21)
Arise, shine, for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.

Isaiah 60:1 (NAS)
Arise, shine; for your light has come, And the glory of the LORD has risen upon you.

Isaiah 60:1 (NIVUS)
Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.

Isaiah 60:1 (NLT)
Arise, Jerusalem! Let your light shine for all the nations to see! For the glory of the LORD is shining upon you.

Studies have been done that show that people are happier and in better moods when the sun is shining. If these same people are exposed to a series of cloudy days, their moods darken and depression becomes more prevalent. This is one proof that Adonai, the Lord God, never intended His people to live in darkness, but in His light.

As a child of God, you are continually exposed to God's light. His brightness always illuminates your path. From the time that you were first introduced to Jehovah (Jesus) the Lord, you were brought near to His throne, where His glory enlightens your day. Because you are in awe of God’s splendor, you give Him honor and reverence. Standing in His light, you see the abundance that He has already provided for you. When you pay attention to the Lord's instructions, you are prospered and blessed.

Therefore, you should arise and let your light shine. Your enemies and your friends, as well, will see how powerful you have become from spending time in God's presence. You are established and confirmed as His child and you shall endure, for you have found your fulfillment in Him.

3-16-07 Malachi 3:16-18

Malachi 3: 16-18 (NAS)
Then those who feared the LORD spoke to one another, and the LORD gave attention and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the LORD and who esteem His name. "And they will be Mine," says the LORD of hosts, "on the day that I prepare My own possession, and I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him." So you will again distinguish between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him.

Malachi 3: 16-18 (NRSV)
Then those who revered the LORD spoke with one another. The LORD took note and listened, and a book of remembrance was written before him of those who revered the LORD and thought on his name. They shall be mine, says the LORD of hosts, my special possession on the day when I act, and I will spare them as parents spare their children who serve them. Then once more you shall see the difference between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve him.

You stand in awe of the Lord your God. You fear Him and honor Him. You respect and revere Him. You have given yourself completely to Him. When you converse with your family and your friends, Yeshua is always at the center. You declare His commands and sing of His promises. Even those who are not a part of your intimate circles hear you preach of Him and His Word. As a shepherd and teacher you lead others to the Great Shepherd; your words direct the way.

Whenever you speak of Him, the Lord Jehovah pays attention to your words. He listens with great interest. If He hears any requests, He is quick to grant them. He summons a servant, who brings His record book. He commands that your words be written down to be kept as a memorial and a reminder. The Lord God is pleased with your thoughts and words of His name and will keep them eternally.

The Lord of Hosts, the One Who wages war for you, has made you His valued and treasured possession. He has promised to show you compassion and spare you from His wrath, even as He would spare His very own Son. You are His servant, standing as a priest before Him.

Then God will cause others to discern how favored you are. They will perceive that He does not favor the wicked, but the righteous only. They understand that God Almighty has blessed you as His special son and servant. Because you continually honor Him before others, He also honors you before them.

3-15-07 Jeremiah 17: 7, 8

Jeremiah 17: 7, 8 (NAS)
Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD And whose trust is the LORD. For he will be like a tree planted by the water, That extends its roots by a stream And will not fear when the heat comes; But its leaves will be green, And it will not be anxious in a year of drought, nor cease to yield fruit.

Jeremiah 17: 7, 8 (NIVUS)
But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.

You are blessed! You have received divine favor and benefits from the Lord Jehovah, who gives you pleasure and happiness. You have also received advantages, such as peace of mind and forgiveness of your sin that other men have not received. You know that you are adored by the Most High God.

You are a strong man and a mighty warrior. Adonai has made you great and powerful. You prevail in all that you do, for the Lord has established His covenant with you. You, therefore, have bold trust and confidence in Him. He makes you secure, safe, and care free; He is your refuge, confidence, trust and security!

He has made you like a strong cedar tree that has been planted by water. It extends and directs it roots deep into the earth by a stream, causing it to stand firm and permanent. When the strongest heat of summer comes against it to attack it, this tree remains green and leafy. It continues to grow fresh and luxuriant. It does not fear or become anxious in a year or season of drought, destitution and death. It has no concern that it will be destroyed, but continues to produce fruit, as it was intended to do.

So rejoice and relax! If the enemy has turned up the heat, know that you will remain fruitful and increasing. You will receive the reward of your faith, for your roots have grown deep in the Word of the Lord!

3-14-07 Isaiah 48:17

Isaiah 48:17 (KJ21)
Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: "I am the LORD thy God who teacheth thee to profit, who leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.

Isaiah 48:17 (NAS)
Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; "I am the LORD your God, who teaches you to profit, Who leads you in the way you should go.

Isaiah 48:17 (NIVUS)
This is what the LORD says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: "I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.

Isaiah 48:17 (NLT)
The LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel, says: I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is good and leads you along the paths you should follow.

Most people look for ways to make more money. Some of these ways are legal and require quite a bit of work to see results. Others are illegal; they are crimes that simply take away another's wealth. Of course, the legal methods are the most acceptable way to gain more money.

Jehovah the Lord has much to say about gain and profit. However, to tap into His instructions and plans, you must have a relationship with Him. You must receive His free redemption, which He bought with His very own blood. He ransomed you from the power of darkness and death. Through His death, you have been born again into His family; you are His kin.

Even though Jehovah is the Holy One of Israel, He is also your Lord and God, who helps you to prevail against your enemies. He gives you power to persevere and persist as you exert yourself. You are a prince of God, whom He has chosen for salvation. He teaches and trains you how to gain and profit in any situation. You should always avail yourself of His benefits. He will lead you in your life's journey and show you the way you should go. As you follow His directions and instructions, you will always find yourself in that place of gain and profit.

3-13-07 Joel 2:23-26

Joel 2: 23-26 (NAS)
So rejoice, O sons of Zion, And be glad in the LORD your God; For He has given you the early rain for your vindication. And He has poured down for you the rain, The early and latter rain as before. And the threshing floors will be full of grain, And the vats will overflow with the new wine and oil. "Then I will make up to you for the years That the swarming locust has eaten, The creeping locust, the stripping locust, and the gnawing locust, My great army which I sent among you. "And you shall have plenty to eat and be satisfied, And praise the name of the LORD your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you; Then My people will never be put to shame.

Joel 2: 23-26 (NIVUS)
Be glad, O people of Zion, rejoice in the LORD your God, for he has given you the autumn rains in righteousness. He sends you abundant showers, both autumn and spring rains, as before. The threshing floors will be filled with grain; the vats will overflow with new wine and oil. ‘I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten— the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm—my great army that I sent among you. You will have plenty to eat, until you are full, and you will praise the name of the LORD your God, who has worked wonders for you; never again will my people be shamed.

Rejoice and be glad, son of God, for the Lord your God has made you a signpost and a monument. In the midst of a drought and a desert, Jehovah, your righteous God, pours out upon you the early rain and His justice defends you. He sends you not only the former rain but also the later rains which come in March and April to mature the crops. He is the one who causes you to grow.

He makes you full and satisfied. You are complete and have abundance. You overflow with new wine and fresh oil. You have become an heir through your new birth and you have been possessed by His own Holy Spirit.

Yeshua has made you a partaker of His covenant of peace. In Him you are sound, safe, and whole. He has restored you and rewarded you. Through Him you have been compensated and received recompense for everything that has repeatedly attacked you. Those things can no longer devour or destroy you. They will not finish you off or bring you to an end. He will give you back the years that you lost.

Now you have plenty to eat, at least twice as much as before. You have all of your desires completely satisfied in excess. And you boast and praise the name of the Lord your God. You shine because of His favor. What He has done for you is wonderful and marvelous. He has hidden you in His secret place and you will not be ashamed or disappointed again!

3-12-07 Isaiah 42:16

Isaiah 42:16 (KJ21)
And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known. I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.

Isaiah 42:16(NAS)
And I will lead the blind by a way they do not know; In paths they do not know I will guide them. I will make darkness into light before them And rugged places into plains. These are the things I will do, And I will not leave them undone.

Isaiah 42:16 (NIVUS)
I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them.

Isaiah 42:16 (NLT)
I will lead blind Israel down a new path, guiding them along an unfamiliar way. I will make the darkness bright before them and smooth out the road ahead of them. Yes, I will indeed do these things; I will not forsake them.

Sometimes you know that you need to make a change in your life, but the path you are supposed to take is not always clear. In fact, you may feel blind and helpless, not knowing which way to turn. Then, you should seek the Lord to guide you on your journey; He knows the course that you should take. He will lead you on a new pathway, which may be winding and crooked, but you need not fear that He will lead you astray.

You will never wander around in the dark, for Adonai transforms the darkness into the light of day. His light will always shine on your path, so that you do not lose your way. As you continue to seek God's presence, what appears as crooked or twisted will become level and straight. Nothing perverse will hinder you, but your journey will be pleasing and agreeable.

You can also know that you will never walk alone, for Jehovah the Lord God has promised to always go with you. What the Almighty has prepared for you will happen, as you work with Him. God will not abandon or forsake you. Once you start on your way, He will never desert you, but will always remain close. You can count on His help.

3-11-07 Exodus 15:13,17

Exodus 15: 13, 17 (JPS)
Thou in Thy love hast led the people that Thou hast redeemed; Thou hast guided them in Thy strength to Thy holy habitation...Thou bringest them in, and plantest them in the mountain of Thine inheritance, the place, O LORD, which Thou hast made for Thee to dwell in, the sanctuary, O Lord, which Thy hands have established.

Exodus 15: 13, 17(BBE)
In your mercy you went before the people whom you have made yours; guiding them in your strength to your holy place...You will take them in, planting them in the mountain of your heritage, the place, O Lord, where you have made your house, the holy place, O Lord, the building of your hands.

Exodus 15: 13, 17 (NIVUS)
In your unfailing love you will lead the people you have redeemed. In your strength you will guide them to your holy dwelling...You will bring them in and plant them on the mountain of your inheritance— the place, O LORD, you made for your dwelling, the sanctuary, O Lord, your hands established.

The Lord God Almighty, who is kind, merciful, good and faithful, is the One who has taken away your reproach and shame. He leads and guides His own chosen people out of dark places into His light. Jehovah has redeemed and ransomed you. He has made you His kin, adopting you into His family.

He leads you to a place of rest, where there is plenty of water to refresh you. He brings you to the goal that He has already planned for you, but He takes you there in stages, so that you are not overwhelmed. His strength helps you to prevail and He makes you stand firm and strong in Him.

He brings you into His holy place, a place that is set apart and separate from anything in the world. He has consecrated and sanctified you for Himself. He is devoted to you and dedicated to your salvation. He has brought you into His beautiful home where you will dwell in rest with Him forever.

He has brought you near, carrying you into His holy mountain. There He has planted and established you. You belong to Him and are part of His inheritance, which is valuable and precious to Him. He has put you in a place that has a firm foundation. You are secure and well provisioned.

You abide in the Lord Jehovah's sanctuary, in His temple. There you endure and remain stable, for He has restored you.
