7-22-06 Psalms 7:14-16

Psalms 7:14-16 (KJ21)
Behold, the wicked travaileth with iniquity, and hath conceived mischief and brought forth falsehood. He made a pit and dug it, and has fallen into the ditch which he hath made. His mischief shall return upon his own head; and his violent dealings shall come down upon his own pate.

Psalms 7:14-16 (NAS)
Behold, he travails with wickedness, And he conceives mischief, and brings forth falsehood. He has dug a pit and hollowed it out, And has fallen into the hole which he made. His mischief will return upon his own head, And his violence will descend upon his own pate.

Psalms 7:14-16 (NIVUS)
He who is pregnant with evil and conceives trouble gives birth to disillusionment. He who digs a hole and scoops it out falls into the pit he has made. The trouble he causes recoils on himself; his violence comes down on his own head.

Psalms 7:14-16 (NLT)
The wicked conceive evil; they are pregnant with trouble and give birth to lies. They dig a pit to trap others and then fall into it themselves. They make trouble, but it backfires on them. They plan violence for others, but it falls on their own heads.

There are some people who are twisted and are bent on ruin and destruction. They set snares for others which cause pain and sorrow. They do not realize that they are weaving a noose for their own necks. Everything they plan and do will come to nothingness. These are wicked, evil, false, and unjust. They conceive and become pregnant with mischief and perverseness. They labor and toil to produce trouble and grief. The only things that they bear and beget are deceit and lies. They are vain shams.

The wicked dig pits and holes, hoping that the innocent and guileless will fall into them. These evil ones want to see their enemies imprisoned in a dungeon. However, they will fall into these pits and ditches themselves. They will be cast into a grave, where they will suffer corruption and destruction. They shall be overthrown and overwhelmed. What they have thrown at others will return to strike them on the head. They will come to weeping and poverty. They will not be able to shake off the violence that they have dealt to others. It will come back abundantly upon the crown of their heads. They will bow down and shrivel up. They will sink and be subdued.

Therefore, do not be concerned over those who wok mischief in your life, for they shall receive the reward of their actions

7-21-06 Psalms 7:11-13

Psalms7:11-13 (KJ21)
God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day. If he turn not, He will whet His sword; He hath bent His bow and made it ready. He hath also prepared for Him the instruments of death; He ordaineth His arrows against the persecutors.

Psalms7:11-13 (NAS)
God is a righteous judge, And a God who has indignation every day. If a man does not repent, He will sharpen His sword; He has bent His bow and made it ready. He has also prepared for Himself deadly weapons; He makes His arrows fiery shafts.

Psalms7:11-13 (NIVUS)
God is a righteous judge, a God who expresses his wrath every day. If he does not relent, he will sharpen his sword; he will bend and string his bow. He has prepared his deadly weapons; he makes ready his flaming arrows.

Psalms7:11-13 (NLT)
God is a judge who is perfectly fair. He is angry with the wicked every day. If a person does not repent, God will sharpen his sword; he will bend and string his bow. He will prepare his deadly weapons and ignite his flaming arrows.

Elohim is the Hebrew word for God, the one who is supreme, great, and mighty. He is the one with the power and authority to judge and pronounce sentence against someone. He governs the just and the upright. He rules them with reason.

The Almighty, full of strength and power, is continually enraged, angry, and indignant against those who are wicked and evil. But if they turn against their wrong deeds and turn towards God, who is their starting point and origin, He will deliver them. He will circumcise them and build them up. He will make them rejoice when they are converted.

However, if these continue to do evil and draw back from the Lord, God will sharpen His sword, string His bow, and gather His arrows. With these He will desolate, kill, and destroy them. These instruments and weapons are prepared to administer death and ruin to God's enemies, who pursue and persecute His people

7-20-06 Psalms 7:9, 10

Psalms 7:9, 10 (KJ21)
O let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish the just; for the righteous God trieth the hearts and souls. My defense is of God, who saveth the upright in heart.
Psalms 7:9, 10 (NAS)
O let the evil of the wicked come to an end, but establish the righteous; For the righteous God tries the hearts and minds. My shield is with God, Who saves the upright in heart.
Psalms 7:9, 10 (NIVUS)
O righteous God, who searches minds and hearts, bring to an end the violence of the wicked and make the righteous secure. My shield is God Most High, who saves the upright in heart.
Psalms 7:9, 10 (NLT)
End the wickedness of the ungodly, but help all those who obey you. For you look deep within the mind and heart, O righteous God. God is my shield, saving those whose hearts are true and right.

Have you ever wished that everything bad and evil in the world was eradicated? You constantly see wicked people afflicting the innocent and guiltless. They cause adversity and distress for others. Their mischief brings harm, misery, sorrow, and grief. You know that they should not go unpunished. You need not despair, for they are already condemned. The Lord God will find them guilty and bring them to an end. Their wicked acts will ultimately fail.

You, however, are a righteous and just man, that God causes to stand erect. He establishes your feet on sure and solid ground. He has appointed you to prosper, for you are faithful and stable. The Lord your God has prepared every provision for you, so that you always have order and peace. You just have to stand fast in what you believe.

The Supreme God, your Father and Judge, will test and examine your heart. Your feelings, your will, and even your intellect will be put on trial. The Lord will investigate to see if He is the center of your life. He wants to know if you are double-hearted. He will show you if your heart is hard or kind. He wants your heart to be full of understanding and wisdom. He wants to control reins of your life; He does not want to give you your head to where and as fast as you want to go, for He desires the best for your life.

In this, however, you need not fear, for Adonai, the Almighty God, is your shield and protector. He is your hedge and defense. You are hidden behind the scales of His armor. He keeps your safe and always gives you victory, for your heart is straight and upright. You are well pleasing to the Lord your God.

7-19-06 Psalms 7:7, 8

Psalms 7:7, 8 (KJ21)
So shall the congregation of the people compass Thee about; for their sakes, therefore, return Thou on high. The LORD shall judge the people: Judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness and according to mine integrity that is in me.

Psalms 7:7, 8 (NAS)
And let the assembly of the peoples encompass Thee; And over them return Thou on high. The LORD judges the peoples; Vindicate me, O LORD, according to my righteousness and my integrity that is in me.

Psalms 7:7, 8 (NIVUS)
Let the assembled peoples gather around you. Rule over them from on high; let the LORD judge the peoples. Judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness, according to my integrity, O Most High.

Psalms 7:7, 8 (NLT)
Gather the nations before you. Sit on your throne high above them. The LORD passes judgment on the nations. Declare me righteous, O LORD, for I am innocent, O Most High!

You are probably familiar with the god-father image that is portrayed in films of the Mafia. This "god" or "father" figure is the one around which the whole family revolves. His word is law and there are severe consequences to the family member, who does not obey to the letter the word of the 'god-father'.

You also are a member of a family, whose leading figure is your God and your Father. You are of His community, nation, and people; your life revolves around His word and His will. You constantly return to His presence, for He is your compass that always directs you in the right way. When the Lord retreats to His elevated place which is far above you, you must determine that you will continue to follow and seek after Him. You will find refreshment and relief, restoration and rescue in the place where the Lord your God is exalted.

Jehovah the Lord is the judge and ruler of His people. You are part of this association and today's society is not your final authority. If you allow society to over-shadow you, your life will become dim and you will huddle with the masses. You may find that you are striving and contending with the Most High.

However, if you allow the Lord to judge you with the righteousness that the blood of Jesus has given you, you will find equity and vindication. He will govern you with justice, for He is your avenger. He litigates and pleads you case and you receive prosperity. He cleanses you and restores you innocence. In Him, you are complete and perfected. You walk in integrity and uprightness. You are now full and whole.

7-18-06 Psalms 7:6

Psalms 7:6 (KJ21)
Arise, O LORD, in Thine anger; lift up Thyself against the rage of mine enemies, and awaken for me the judgment that Thou hast commanded.

Psalms 7:6 (NAS)
Arise, O LORD, in Thine anger; Lift up Thyself against the rage of my adversaries, And arouse Thyself for me; Thou hast appointed judgment.

Psalms 7:6 (NIVUS)
Arise, O LORD, in your anger; rise up against the rage of my enemies. Awake, my God; decree justice.

Psalms 7:6 (NLT)
Arise, O LORD, in anger! Stand up against the fury of my enemies! Wake up, my God, and bring justice!

None of us want to be on receiving end of another's anger, but we all have been. It is not a pleasant place to be. This is why you should do what you can to not arouse the anger of the Almighty, for you are no match for the Lord Most High.

Your enemies and adversaries, in their pride, do not realize that when they antagonize you, they are also antagonizing Jehovah the Lord. And He will rise up to help you. He will lift you up and strengthen you. You will be established and sure.

However, in His anger, with His nostrils flaring, the Lord will rise up and advance against your foes. Even in His burning, He will still extend pardon and forgiveness, but if they refuse, He will cast them down. In rage and passion, He will come against them, for they have alienated themselves from Him. They will fail and be overrun. In their transgression, they shall perish.

The Lord will open your eyes to the favorable verdict that He has ordained for you, but your enemies will have a sentence pronounced against them. You shall receive the justice and vindication appointed for you, but your adversaries' crimes will be judged. God will defend and contend for you, but He will punish His enemies. Adonai will judge between right and wrong; then He will put everything in its proper order.

7-17-06 Acts 13:38, 39

Acts 13:38, 39 (KJ21)
Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this Man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins; and by Him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the Law of Moses.

Acts 13:38, 39 (NAS)
Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through Him forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you, and through Him everyone who believes is freed from all things, from which you could not be freed through the Law of Moses.

Acts 13:38, 39 (NIVUS)
Therefore, my brothers, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. Through him everyone who believes is justified from everything you could not be justified from by the law of Moses.

Acts 13:38, 39 (NLT)
Brothers, listen! In this man Jesus there is forgiveness for your sins. Everyone who believes in him is freed from all guilt and declared right with God—something the Jewish law could never do.

There are many important principles that you need to learn about the kingdom of God. One of the first that needs to be announced and proclaimed to you is that Yeshua, the Messiah, has released you from bondage and imprisonment. He paid for the pardon and forgiveness of your sins. Through the blood of Jesus, God has let your sins go as if they had never been committed. The penalty has been remitted. Sin cannot hinder you any longer. Now you have the power to no longer wander from the path of uprightness and honor. You have no desire to do wrong or violate God's law.

Indeed since you are persuaded and believe in Jesus Christ and have made Him your Lord, you are rendered righteous. Adonai, the Most High, has pronounced you just and upright. Your are virtuous and keep the commands of God. You are innocent, faultless, and guiltless. You are being wholly conformed to the will of God. You are approved and accepted of the Lord.

You are now separated from all those things that rendered you unrighteous. Even though the Law of Moses was able to convict you of sin, you are no longer under its jurisdiction. The grace of Jesus Christ has forever set you free.

7-16-06 Acts 13:34

Acts 13:34 (KJ21)
And concerning that He raised Him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, He said thus: ‘I will give you the sure mercies of David.’

Acts 13:34 (NAS)
And as for the fact that He raised Him up from the dead, no more to return to decay, He has spoken in this way: ‘I WILL GIVE YOU THE HOLY and SURE blessings OF DAVID.’

Acts 13:34 (NIVUS)
The fact that God raised him from the dead, never to decay, is stated in these words: "‘I will give you the holy and sure blessings promised to David.’

Acts 13:34 (NLT)
For God had promised to raise him from the dead, never again to die. This is stated in the Scripture that says, ‘I will give you the sacred blessings I promised to David.’

Adonai, the Most High God, always keeps His promises and He promised that His only begotten Son would not remain in the realm of the dead. God, therefore, raised Him up. Yeshua simply stood up from the stone bier that held His lifeless body. He was kept intact and escaped safely from death. God upheld and sustained His Son's authority and power.

Now the Lord God will never again see corruption or destruction. His body will not undergo decay. His vigor and strength will not be consumed. His suffering is finished and He is now glorified. He is undefiled by sin and free from wickedness. He is pure and holy. He is in harmony with His Father.

Since Jesus has been raised from the dead, you now have escaped its sting. Like the Lord, you will be glorified. Purity and holiness are normal for you. And you sing the same harmonious song with the Lord your God.
