You always have a choice to build up and support another or to tear that one down. You can choose to hurt someone or to extend healing. When you make these choices, you should know that there is One who is always watching you.

If you want Adonai, the Almighty God, to think the best of you, you should strive to become a faithful person. You should put your trust and belief in God. This will make you firm and steadfast. Instead of stress and frenzy, you will find that you are quiet and at rest. Then you will be able to render the support and fostering that others need.

When you become faithful, you will be able to sit down with the Lord and be at ease. You can settle in His dwelling place and abide in His presence. In strong and enduring marriages, there are often quiet times, when the couple just enjoys being with each other; they have no need to speak, but simply be together. This can also happen in your relationship with Adonai. The more you know His ways, the more comfortable you become with Him.

As you minister to, worship, and serve the Lord God, you will find yourself walking in integrity and truth. You will become complete and perfect. No blemish will be found in you, for you are upright. You will accomplish all that God wants and nothing in your life will be wasted.

1-13-05 Zephaniah 1:8

In the chronicles of history, a certain day came when Jehovah the Lord gave His life in sacrifice. He shed His blood for the remission of your sin, freely offering Himself to set your free. At that time, He made a way for you to be adopted into the family of God. You became a child of the King, a prince or princess with all the privileges of your new rank.

You, as the King's child, are the builder of the family name and you have the responsibility to steward all that the Lord's name entails. Adonai wants to place you in a position to rule and to have dominion, but He needs to know that you will act according to His will. He desires that you reign with His mercy and His justice. He has made it possible for you to always be clothed with His robe of righteousness and to do what is right.

There are, however, some princes who do not want to submit themselves to the King's authority. They want to rulle and reign in their own power and might. The have arrayed themselves in their own glory, which makes them look strange, outlandish, and foolish. They show no respect nor reverence to the King of kings. They ignore and disregard His commands. As they reject the Lord's word, they estrange themselves from the One who elevated them to their position.

To have peace in His Kingdom, God cannot let such behavior go on. He cares for these rebellious children and, therefore, visits them to oversee their actions. When He sees their empty and hurtful ways, He will avenge Himself. He will bring judgment and punishment when necessary, for He wants to bring them back in alignment with His commandments, precepts, and statutes.

In the Old Testament of the Bible, in the book of Esther, there was a godly man named Mordecai. Mordecai had proved to be faithful to the king and the king took notice. He decided to honor Mordecai. What a blessing it was for Mordecai to be honored by his king.

Likewise, your king has taken notice of your faithful service and desires to honor you. The first thing that He wants to do is to clothe you in royal apparel. He has already given you dominion and authority to rule through Jesus Christ. He has lifted you and set you on a throne in His kingdom. You, therefore, should dress the part; you need to always be wrapped in the kingly robe of righteousness.

Next, the Lord has chosen you for His service and placed you in His "cavalry." He dispatches you throughout His kingdom to act as a spokesman and to declare His decrees. As you ride forth, others see the power and authority that your King has granted to you.

Finally, He sets the crown and diadem of His Empire on your head. All can see the rank that you hold; it shows that you are a captain, a chief, and a ruler. It reveals that you are a son, who has been ordained to act in behalf of the King. With His crown encircling your head, you are always conscious of the Lord's thoughts and it helps you to set your mind in agreement with Him.

A robe of righteousness to cover the nakedness that sin brings, a kingly crown to keep your mind stayed on Adonai, and the king's horse that allows you to travel with God's grace and energy--all of these are how your King has chosen to honor and bless you!

The Bible says that God uses foolish things to confound the wise. The most important thing that Adonai ever did was to send His Son, Yeshua, to become the sacrifice for our sins. This is truly baffling to most people. Jesus is the gentle breath of God breathed upon mankind giving the newness of life.

Not only is Yeshua Adonai's breath, He is also the very Word of God. In one respect, words must be heard to be understood. All who give audience to the Lord and will hearken to His words will also receive understanding.

When you are facing a matter for which you have no understanding, you can go to the Lord, seeking His knowledge and wisdom. He has the intelligence to put things together for you. He has answers for every problem that you face. He has the ability and the desire to bring completeness into every area of your life. He wants to add to you and not subtract.

Therefore, if the Lord speaks something that makes your mind go tilt, remember that God often uses what appears foolish. When you embrace what He says, you will receive the understanding that you need.

Most people grow old; there is, however, a difference between just growing old and becoming an elder. As you age, you should advance, for you have learned to bear up under whatever life brings your way. You have accepted Adonai's ways and He has lifted you. You have seen dreams and desires birthed, for you extol and magnify the Lord. You have learned how to forgive and you have extended your hands to help others. Since you have obtained pardon for your sin, you are able to give pardon to those who wrong you.

As you yield more of yourself to the Lord, you receive more respect and honor. Then Jehovah, your God, will rank you as the head. You will become a captain and a chief. Your excellence will propel you to the forefront. You are a priest, who will lead the poor to the top.

If, however, you make yourself a prophet, if you aim your finger at someone and speak untruths, then you are a sham. You are full of deceit and falsehood. You are a cheat and a liar. Instead of being the head and a ruler, you will be the tail and cut off at the rear. You are no more than something flapping or wagging in the air.

Good parents usually respond quickly when they hear the cries of their children. Adonai, our Heavenly Father, is also a good parent and He is attentive to your cries for help. When you call to Him, He will provide a way of escape and you shall be delivered. He enables you to slip out of the clutches of your enemies.

Therefore, you should be quick to put your trust in your Father. He has proved time and again that you can put your confidence in Him. Because you are safe and secure in His hands, you can be bold and careless. You know you will not be put to shame, nor disappointed. The Lord will never embarrass you. He will save you from any confusion and you will not lose your composure. Jehovah, the Lord, always builds you up and affirms you; for you are His well beloved child, joined to Him through the blood of Jesus Christ.

The Lord God, Jehovah, is your God. He is your creator and your savior. You have confidence and trust in Him. He makes you safe and secure. In Him you are bold.

He will never disappoint you or allow you to be ashamed. He will not delay in fulfilling your desires. He will not allow your enemies, those who are hostile to you, to rejoice in triumph over you nor will they be exulted over you.

Wait expectantly for Him. Look for His answer hopefully. Linger in His presence, for He shall surely deal faithfully with you. And those who deal treacherously, faithlessly, and deceitfully with you shall be ashamed. All of their threats are empty and vain. They are void and without effect. The Lord shall pour their words down the drain, for they are idle and worthless.

And you shall rejoice and be exulted!
