5-13-06 2 Samuel 22:33

2 Samuel 22:33 (KJ21)
God is my strength and power, and He maketh my way perfect.

2 Samuel 22:33 (NAS)
God is my strong fortress; And He sets the blameless in His way.

2 Samuel 22:33 (NIVUS)
It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect.

2 Samuel 22:33 (NLT)
God is my strong fortress; he has made my way safe.

Jehovah, the Mighty One, is the One True God. Great is His majesty and splendor. He is your chief and leader. Like a mighty Tree, He stands before you in strength. There is no noble or wealthy man who is more prominent or more powerful than He. And yet like a gentle lamb, He became the ram of sacrifice for you.

Now He is your place and means of safety and protection. When you run to Him for refuge, He is a stronghold that no enemy can breach. He gives you strength and makes you firm, so that you can always prevail.

No one has the strength, might, efficiency and ability of the Lord God. The force of an army is not greater than Adonai. Many writhe in fear and tremble before Him. Just the thought of Mighty God can bring anguish and pain.

However, the Lord your God has loosened what had you bound and has set you free. He has undone your past and has given you a new start. You are able to spring and leap like never before. Now your way is sound and unimpaired. You live your life entirely in line with the Truth and with integrity. You have been made whole and complete. God has restored your health and innocence. You will finish your course and will not be consumed and exhausted in the process. The enemy will not destroy you before you finish, for the Lord perfects all that concerns you.

Exodus 15:6 (KJ21)
Thy right hand, O LORD, has become glorious in power; Thy right hand, O LORD, hath dashed in pieces the enemy.

Exodus 15:6 (NAS)
Thy right hand, O LORD, is majestic in power, Thy right hand, O LORD, shatters the enemy.

Exodus 15:6 (NIVUS)
Your right hand, O LORD, was majestic in power. Your right hand, O LORD, shattered the enemy.

Exodus 15:6 (NLT)
Your right hand, O LORD, is glorious in power. Your right hand, O LORD, dashes the enemy to pieces.

A soldier is trained to use many pieces of hardware and arms to protect himself and to fight the enemy. He is even instructed in how to use each part of his body in his defense.

Even though the Lord Jehovah is Almighty and a strong tower of defense, He does not have to put His whole body in the line of fire. He simply displays His majestic, glorious power and strength through His right hand. The Lord God's greatness and nobility is demonstrated in what is right. With it, He shatters every enemy. He grinds those that are hostile to you into pieces.

5-11-06 Exodus 9:16

Exodus 9:16 (KJ21)
And in very deed, for this cause have I raised thee up: to show in thee My power, and that My name may be declared throughout all the earth.

Exodus 9:16 (NAS)
But, indeed, for this cause I have allowed you to remain, in order to show you My power, and in order to proclaim My name through all the earth.

Exodus 9:16 (NIVUS)
But I have raised you up for this very purpose, that I might show you my power and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.

Exodus 9:16 (NLT)
But I have let you live for this reason—that you might see my power and that my fame might spread throughout the earth.

Jehovah the Lord has a special plan and purpose for your life. He desires that you excel in all that He has in store for you. He, therefore, causes you to stand and endure. He makes you steadfast and helps you to persist. You will rise up and hold your ground, for the Lord has appointed and ordained your success.

Adonai longs for others to see His power displayed in you. He knows that they can inspect and look intently at your life. You are a display of His strength and might. Through you He produces wealth.

The Lord God Almighty wants His name and reputation to be recounted throughout the earth. Your life declares His fame and glory. When people see God's strength and power manifested and laid bare before them, they tell others what they have seen and heard. All of this causes a hunger and thirst in the hearts of men to know their Creator.

5-10-06 Psalms 59:16

Psalms 59:16 (NAS)
But as for me, I shall sing of Thy strength; Yes, I shall joyfully sing of Thy lovingkindness in the morning, For Thou hast been my stronghold, And a refuge in the day of my distress.

Psalms 59:16 (NIVUS)
But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.

Psalms 59:16 (NLT)
But as for me, I will sing about your power. I will shout with joy each morning because of your unfailing love. For you have been my refuge, a place of safety in the day of distress.

Adonai, the Lord God, is strong and powerful. He is a God of majesty, force, and might, and yet He is full of mercy, goodness, and kindness. He shows you His beauty and favor. He loves you and does not shame nor reproach you.

When you think of the character of God and His dual sided nature, you are filled with joy. In your rejoicing before the Lord, you cry out with loud shouts of triumph. As you go about in your travels, you sing with joy, for Almighty God loves and cares for you. His praises are on your lips at the break of day.

In His love and mercy, Yahweh the Lord has made Himself a high fort and refuge for you. He makes you inaccessible to your enemies, for you are sheltered behind His strong, powerful walls. In Him you are safe and exalted. When you need to escape, flee to the Most High. When your foes are hot on your heels and you are surrounded with troubles, retreat to the Lord your God; He is your strong tower.

Cause me to hear Thy lovingkindness in the morning, for in Thee do I trust. Cause me to know the way wherein I should walk, for I lift up my soul unto Thee.

Psalms 143:8 (NAS)

Let me hear of your unfailing love to me in the morning, for I am trusting you. Show me where to walk, for I have come to you in prayer.

When a small child awakens in the morning, his first thought is for his mommy or daddy. As a child of God, you want to hear your Father's voice at the beginning of the day. You listen carefully for His kind and loving words. You want to know that you are still in His favor and surrounded by His mercy. You do not want to hear reproof, but you desire that Adonai grant you His grace once again, for He is your refuge. You can trust and be confident in Him. In Him you are secure and have hope.

You seek and inquire of the Lord your God at daybreak. You need Him to show the course that you should take that day. You want to walk according to His will, so ask Him to show you the way. He will advise and instruct you in your journey, for He is your familiar friend, who guides your steps and disciplines your conversation.

Therefore, lift up your soul to the Most High God. Accept what He has prepared for you and He will cause you to advance. You will arise and bear much fruit. Your yield will be great, for you are honorable and respected. The Lord your God looks upon you with high regard.

Proverbs 14:27 (KJ21)

He is your sustenance and maintenance. He always revives and keeps you active. He restores your health and your prosperity. Adonai, the Lord your God, preserves you from discouragement, faintness, and death. As you stand in awe and astonishment of the Almighty, He breathes His breath on you.

Sometimes Satan sets out a snare for you. He baits and lures you to his trap. He wants to take your life prematurely and will try to kill you. However, you need not fear him, for you are a vessel of the very life and breath of God. As you remember to honor the Most High God, He will cause you to turn away from every trap and enticement of the enemy. He will abolish every device the wicked that has set for you.

5-7-06 Psalms 68:26

Psalms 68:26 (KJ21)
Bless ye God in the congregations, even the Lord from the fountain of Israel.

Psalms 68:26 (NAS)
Bless God in the congregations, Even the LORD, you who are of the fountain of Israel.

Psalms 68:26 (NIVUS)
Praise God in the great congregation; praise the LORD in the assembly of Israel.

Psalms 68:26 (NLT)
Praise God, all you people of Israel; praise the LORD, the source of Israel’s life.

Do you know what your greatest need is? Maybe you think it is food and drink. Or you think you need more money so that you can pay your bills and buy everything that you want. Maybe you need the love and respect of others. Perhaps you need your health or your marriage restored. All of these are valid needs, but none are your greatest need.

The greatest thing in your life is to praise and bless the Lord God Almighty. The most important thing that you can do is to kneel down before Him in worship. He should be the object of your adoration. Instead of cursing Him, you should salute Him. You should gather and assemble together with other believers to worship Yahweh your Lord.

Adonai, the Lord Most High, is the source from which your life springs. He is your joy and your purity. His living water will cool your tongue and quench your thirst. He prevails over your enemies. Therefore, bless and praise Him, for He has done wonderful things for you.
