6-14-08 Deuteronomy 15:10 Give Freely and the Lord Your God Will Bless You

Deuteronomy 15:10 (NAS)
You shall generously give to him, and your heart shall not be grieved when you give to him, because for this thing the LORD your God will bless you in all your work and in all your undertakings.

Deuteronomy 15:10 (NLT)
Give freely without begrudging it, and the LORD your God will bless you in everything you do.

You desire to be like your Heavenly Father in all things and you know that He is the greatest of givers. You, therefore, should not fear or grieve over giving from your substance to others. Do not become broken up over it and do not let it vex your heart. Since you are God's child, you should give joyfully and freely from your storehouses. Willingly pour out to others, offering them what your hand can provide for their needs.

When you seek occasion to act in this way, God takes notice and is pleased. He begins to send blessings in your direction and He becomes your Benefactor in all things. As you set your hands to work, God strengthens you and gives you abundant increase. He has appointed you to advance and He will give you the ability to accomplish great things. God's hand of blessing resting on your hands and your occupation brings you so much abundance that you can dress fashionably and feast on His provisions. Your labor and industry will not be hindered, but you will be well furnished for any situation or event. Every seed you sow will produce a high yield.

Therefore, continue to give so that Adonai can continue to give to you. Continue to bless others so that your Heavenly Father can pour His abundant blessings on you.
