3-24-07 Psalms 17:6, 7

Psalms 17:6, 7 (KJ21)
I have called upon Thee, for Thou wilt hear me, O God; incline Thine ear unto me and hear my speaking. Show Thy marvelous lovingkindness, O Thou that savest by Thy right hand them that put their trust in Thee from those that rise up against them.

Psalms 17:6, 7 (NAS)
I have called upon Thee, for Thou wilt answer me, O God; Incline Thine ear to me, hear my speech. Wondrously show Thy lovingkindness, O Savior of those who take refuge at Thy right hand From those who rise up against them.

Psalms 17:6, 7(NIVUS)
I call on you, O God, for you will answer me; give ear to me and hear my prayer. Show the wonder of your great love, you who save by your right hand those who take refuge in you from their foes.

Psalms 17:6, 7 (NLT)
I am praying to you because I know you will answer, O God. Bend down and listen as I pray. Show me your unfailing love in wonderful ways. You save with your strength those who seek refuge from their enemies.

When you enter a room or are walking down a street and encounter someone you know, you want to be able to call them by name and have them remember you as well. Sometimes, however, the name may escape your memory and you are temporarily embarrassed by your lapse. Many times if you admit your human failings, the other person will graciously supply the name. That person may even confess to also not remembering names.

There is one name, however, that you should never forget to call. That is the name of Adonai the Lord God. You know that when you cry out to Him that He will respond and give you an answer. He will stretch and bend down to you, inclining His ear to your voice. He is intent on listening for every utterance that you make so that He can lend you His strength and power.

In God's ears, your voice is distinct and easily distinguishable. You are separated and set apart from all others. Your wonderful Almighty God desires to be good and kind to you. You are never reproached or shamed in His presence. When you seek refuge and run to the Lord for protection, He will save and deliver you, making you victorious at all times. Jehovah's strong right hand will always hold you up and protect you from those who rise up against you. You are safe in trusting and confiding in the Most High.

3-23-07 Isaiah 41:11, 12

Isaiah 41:11, 12 (BBE)
Truly, all those who are angry with you will be made low and put to shame: those desiring to do you wrong will come to nothing and never again be seen. You will make search for your haters but they will not be there; those who make war against you will be as nothing and will come to destruction.

Isaiah 41:11, 12 (NAS)
"Behold all those who are angered at you will be shamed and dishonored; Those who contend with you will be as nothing, and will perish. You will seek those who quarrel with you, but will not find them, Those who war with you will be as nothing, and non-existent.

For years you have stood before those who have burned with anger against you. Sometimes you have felt scorched with the heat of their emotion. Their words have burned your heart, but the Lord, your God, has healed you. He has stood for you against their onslaughts!

As you stand in His sheltering shadow, you shall behold their disgrace and confusion. They shall be put to shame and disappointed. They shall be humiliated and dishonored, for they are merely mortal men, who are weak, sick, and frail. They are desperate and woeful. Even though they continue to strive, quarrel, or bring you to court, do not fear them! They do not know that soon they will perish. They will be destroyed and vanish away, but you shall stand in triumph!

Though you intentionally seek for them, you will never find them. You will never again encounter them or happen upon them as you continue to walk before the Lord. Those, who have struggled, fought, and gone to battle with you, will be broken and come to an end. They will cease to exist and be as nothing! You, however, will grow stronger day by day, for Jehovah, the Lord, is your strength. He causes you to stand in triumph over your enemies!

3-22-07 Isaiah 40:29-31

Isaiah 40: 29-31(AV)
He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Isaiah 40: 29-31 (NIVUS)
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Isaiah 40: 29-31 (NRSV)
He gives power to the faint, and strengthens the powerless. Even youths will faint and be weary, and the young will fall exhausted; but those who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

Sometimes life just makes you tired. The everyday stresses of making a living and dealing with other people can tap into your strength quickly. At those times, you must turn to the Lord. When you are weary, faint, and fatigued, Jehovah will give you His strength and power. If trouble, wickedness, or sorrow seem to be dogging your steps, trust in Him. Though your vigor, your physical strength, or even your wealth seem to drain away from you, do not fear. God will make you strong and mighty; He will put abundant strength in your bones. He will multiply and increase you. He will enlarge your borders and give you excess.

Even young boys, though they go about growling like lions, can grow faint and fatigued. When they labor and toil at their work, they too can become weary. Young men, those that are chosen and elect, can grow feeble, totter and stumble. They too can become weak.

If you feel like these young people, wait, look to, and eagerly expect Yeshua to change you. He will cause your strength to sprout anew. He will cause you to rise and ascend as if you had the wings of an eagle. He will cause you to excel and be superior. You will be able to run and move quickly. As you do your work, you will not toil or grow weary. Walking about, carrying out your daily tasks, you will not faint or be fatigued.

So rest easy; Jehovah is your Shalom!

3-21-07 Isaiah 49:9

Isaiah 49:9 (KJ21)
that Thou mayest say to the prisoners, ‘Go forth,’ to them that are in darkness, ‘Show yourselves.’ "They shall feed on the paths, and their pastures shall be in all high places.

Isaiah 49:9 (NAS)
Saying to those who are bound, ‘Go forth,’ To those who are in darkness, ‘Show yourselves.’ Along the roads they will feed, And their pasture will be on all bare heights.

Isaiah 49:9 (NIVUS)
to say to the captives, ‘Come out,’ and to those in darkness, ‘Be free!’ "They will feed beside the roads and find pasture on every barren hill.

Isaiah 49:9 (NLT)
Through you I am saying to the prisoners of darkness, ‘Come out! I am giving you your freedom!’ They will be my sheep, grazing in green pastures and on hills that were previously bare.

Have you ever tried to go forward, but something seemed to block the way? You may almost feel bound and imprisoned. Perhaps even your own words have you tied up and your oath has harnessed you to an obligation from which you want to be freed.

Do not let yourself lose your hope, for the words of Another can and will allow you to come out of your prison. You will begin to move forward towards your dream once again. The Lord your God has already spoken His promises over your life and into your situation. You will see the results that God has purposed for you. The darkness and obscurity that you have experienced will begin to dissipate and you will no longer be hidden from view. The confusion that has dimmed your mind will lift.

Then you will be revealed to the world as a brand new discovery. As you travel on your journey, you will graze and feed along the way. The Lord your Shepherd will lead you only to green and lush pastures. He will take you to high places. Even if the land seems barren and bare, you will have provision, for the Lord Jehovah is your special friend and companion. He will always take care of you.

Isaiah 38:19 (JPS)

The living, the living, he shall praise Thee, as I do this day; the father to the children shall make known Thy truth.

Isaiah 38:19 (NAS)

"It is the living who give thanks to Thee, as I do today; A father tells his sons about Thy faithfulness.

The Lord has given you His life; in Him you live, move, and have your being. You could not be more alive. He causes you to live prosperously and in health. He has revived you from discouragement and faintness. With every breath you praise Him, thanking Him for all that He has done for you. You lift your hands in worship and confess the greatness of His name.

Your sons have seen your consecration and dedication to the Lord of lords and King of kings. They have watched you serve and worship Him. They have seen your faith and have listened to your words. You have declared His faithfulness and truth. Your very life speaks of how trustworthy He is. They have seen how He supports, upholds, nourishes and carries you. He has made you firm, established, and sure.

Belief runs in your family!

3-19-07 Isaiah 52:9

Isaiah 52:9 (KJ21)
Break forth into joy, sing together, ye waste places of Jerusalem: for the LORD hath comforted His people, He hath redeemed Jerusalem.

Isaiah 52:9 (NAS)
Break forth, shout joyfully together, You waste places of Jerusalem; For the LORD has comforted His people, He has redeemed Jerusalem.

Isaiah 52:9 (NIVUS)
Burst into songs of joy together, you ruins of Jerusalem, for the LORD has comforted his people, he has redeemed Jerusalem.

Isaiah 52:9 (NLT)
Let the ruins of Jerusalem break into joyful song, for the LORD has comforted his people. He has redeemed Jerusalem.

Listening to four part harmony in which each voice mixes and blends is one of the sweetest sounds that you could hear. When those voices are joined and united in praise to the Lord Most High, the sound becomes sweeter still. The singers, as well as the listeners, will break forth into overwhelming joy, for they know how blessed they are.

You, too, have been overcome with exaltation and rejoicing, for the Jehovah the Lord has brought you out of a place of ruin and desolation, where you were overcome with parching heat, drought, and waste. Adonai, the Almighty, has brought you into a place of peace, where you find comfort and consolation. The Lord was moved with pity and compassion towards you, when He saw your regrets and repentant heart. He, therefore, redeemed and ransomed you, making you complete and sound.

Now, you can lift your voice in harmony with your brothers and sisters, for you have double peace resting on your life.

3-18-07 Hebrews 1:9

Hebrews 1:9 (KJ21)
Thou hast loved righteousness and hated iniquity; therefore God, even Thy God, hath anointed Thee with the oil of gladness above Thy fellows.

Hebrews 1:9 (NAS)
THOU HAST LOVED RIGHTEOUSNESS AND HATED LAWLESSNESS; THEREFORE GOD, THY GOD, HATH ANOINTED THEE WITH THE OIL OF GLADNESS ABOVE THY COMPANIONS.

Hebrews 1:9 (NIVUS)
You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.

Hebrews 1:9 (NLT)
You love what is right and hate what is wrong. Therefore God, your God, has anointed you, pouring out the oil of joy on you more than on anyone else.

Peer pressure became a buzz word a few years back and many people succumb to it, instead of standing up for their beliefs and principles. In today's world, to live an upright, decent life is often looked upon with disdain and yet that is the best possible choice anyone can make.

When you choose to love, sanction, and hold righteousness as dear to your heart, you gain the attention of Adonai the Most High God. Living with integrity, virtue, and purity of life gains God's approval. With correct thinking, feeling, and acting, you prove yourself acceptable in the sight of the Lord your God. When you live in accordance to God's will, you show that you hate and detest wickedness, iniquity, and lawlessness.

Because of your stand in not giving in to the pressure of the world, Almighty God has anointed you with His Holy Spirit. He has made His power and might available to you at all times. He fuels and energizes you to live the best life you can and provides healing if you should get sick. You exalt the Lord your God and He gives you extreme joy and gladness. Those who live wicked, sinful lives cannot even partake or share in a small part of what you have received from God, for His anointing sets you far above them.
