12-2-06 1 Chronicles 17:8

1 Chronicles 17:8 (KJ21)
And I have been with thee whithersoever thou hast walked, and have cut off all thine enemies from before thee, and have made thee a name like the name of the great men who are on the earth.

1 Chronicles 17:8 (NAS)
And I have been with you wherever you have gone, and have cut off all your enemies from before you; and I will make you a name like the name of the great ones who are in the earth.

1 Chronicles 17:8 (NIVUS)
I have been with you wherever you have gone, and I have cut off all your enemies from before you. Now I will make your name like the names of the greatest men of the earth.

1 Chronicles 17:8 (NLT)
I have been with you wherever you have gone, and I have destroyed all your enemies. Now I will make your name famous throughout the earth!

Wherever your life has taken you, the Lord God has been there. With each step you have taken, you have been accompanied by the Spirit of the Living God. When you have moved from one place to another, Yeshua the Messiah went with you.

Many times you have come face to face with those who have been hostile to you and the Lord was with you as you confronted them. He is the One Who cut off your enemies, causing them to fail in their evil plots against you. He turned them away from you; so that you had to look back to see them. Ultimately He destroyed and eliminated them, making you free from their onslaughts.

Now you are in the place that Jesus has appointed and ordained. He has fashioned and transformed you, setting you as a sign before others of His magnificent grace. He is making your name famous and has given you a good reputation. Since you have distinguished yourself as His Son, He has placed your name on a list with the great ones.

12-1-06 Haggai 2:7-9

Haggai 2:7-9 (KJ21)
And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come; and I will fill this house with glory,’ saith the LORD of hosts. The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,’ saith the LORD of hosts. The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former,’ saith the LORD of hosts. ‘And in this place will I give peace,’ saith the LORD of hosts.

Haggai 2:7-9 (NAS)
And I will shake all the nations; and they will come with the wealth of all nations; and I will fill this house with glory,’ says the LORD of hosts. The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,’ declares the LORD of hosts. The latter glory of this house will be greater than the former,’ says the LORD of hosts, ‘and in this place I shall give peace,’ declares the LORD of hosts.

Haggai 2:7-9 (NIVUS)
I will shake all nations, and the desired of all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,’ says the LORD Almighty. The silver is mine and the gold is mine,’ declares the LORD Almighty. The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,’ says the LORD Almighty. ‘And in this place I will grant peace,’ declares the LORD Almighty.

Haggai 2:7-9 (NLT)
I will shake all the nations, and the treasures of all the nations will come to this Temple. I will fill this place with glory, says the LORD Almighty. The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, says the LORD Almighty. The future glory of this Temple will be greater than its past glory, says the LORD Almighty. And in this place I will bring peace. I, the LORD Almighty, have spoken!

Almighty God, the creator of all things, knows each and every nation, each and every person. He sees their deeds and observes what they prize. He is the One qualified to judge them, for His judgments are right and true. Those who have turned against Him are the ones that He has promised to shake and they will quake in fear of Him.

Then the Lord of Hosts, He who prevails against the enemy, will take all they hold precious, beautiful, and pleasing. This wealth, although in their possession, is not really theirs. The Lord God has declared that all of the silver and gold belong to Him. He has made everything that men hold precious--those brilliant things that they long for and with which they ornament themselves

He gives these to you, His child. Since His house is filled with abundance, you will be satisfied. From His riches, He will bless you with honor, dignity, and glory; you shall be heavy with all of the wealth that Jehovah bestows on you.

He shall cause you to have more glory than previously; you will shine with more splendor than even the temple of Solomon. He has raised you up and you have been established as His dwelling place. He bestows on you the peace that only He can give. You are now whole and uninjured, resting continually in His shalom!

11-30-06 Zechariah 10:10

Zechariah 10:10 (KJ21)
I will bring them back also out of the land of Egypt, and gather them out of Assyria; and I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon, and a place shall not be found for them.

Zechariah 10:10 (NAS)
I will bring them back from the land of Egypt, And gather them from Assyria; And I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon, Until no room can be found for them.

Zechariah 10:10 (NIVUS)
I will bring them back from Egypt and gather them from Assyria. I will bring them to Gilead and Lebanon, and there will not be room enough for them.

Zechariah 10:10 (NLT)
I will bring them back from Egypt and Assyria and resettle them in Gilead and Lebanon. There won’t be enough room for them all!

The children of Israel were slaves in the land of Egypt for over 400 years. Initially, after discovering his son Joseph in Egypt, Jacob moved his family there during a time of famine. Although it seemed like a good decision at the time, that move put Israel in the place to eventually be overcome and enslaved.

Perhaps you have made decisions that appeared good and wise at the time; however, you soon found yourself hemmed in and besieged. Distressing limits were placed on you and you could not break through the enemy's defenses. You were held fast in a tower with no apparent way or means to escape. You were cramped and confined. Your foes seemed to succeed and be blessed, while you languished in prison.

But then Adonai, the Lord God, moved into your situation and circumstances. He broke your bonds and brought you out of the enemy's territory. You were delivered and on your way home again, rejoicing. Not only were you rescued, but the Lord also recompensed, refreshed, and restored you. All the evil curses that came against you were reversed. You were gathered again into God's loving presence.

Now you find yourself in a land of abundance, where there are heaps of precious stones and springs of water. You are a prince and your testimony is that you are standing upright before Almighty God. He has set you on a high mountain, where you are safe and secure, for you have found your way into the center of God's heart. A land of fountains, mines, and meadows is yours; you have more than enough, for the Lord has saved and delivered you.

11-29-06 Ezekiel 34:25, 26

Ezekiel 34:25, 26 (KJ21)
And I will make with them a covenant of peace, and will cause the evil beasts to cease out of the land; and they shall dwell safely in the wilderness and sleep in the woods. And I will make them and the places round about My hill a blessing, and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing.

Ezekiel 34:25, 26 (NAS)
And I will make a covenant of peace with them and eliminate harmful beasts from the land, so that they may live securely in the wilderness and sleep in the woods. And I will make them and the places around My hill a blessing. And I will cause showers to come down in their season; they will be showers of blessing.

Ezekiel 34:25, 26 (NIVUS)
I will make a covenant of peace with them and rid the land of wild beasts so that they may live in the desert and sleep in the forests in safety. I will bless them and the places surrounding my hill. I will send down showers in season; there will be showers of blessing.

Ezekiel 34:25, 26 (NLT)
I will make a covenant of peace with them and drive away the dangerous animals from the land. Then my people will be able to camp safely in the wildest places and sleep in the woods without fear. I will cause my people and their homes around my holy hill to be a blessing. And I will send showers, showers of blessings, which will come just when they are needed.

The Lord Jesus made a pledge to His Father that He would give His life to save His people from their sins. Together they established a covenant--a treaty and an alliance--in which men could live in peace. This agreement allows mankind access to God, placing them in a position to become His friends. Through this covenant, Yeshua provided a way for men to become complete and sound; they would be made whole and good. After their restoration, they could receive the rewards that Adonai always intended for them.

As a child of God, you are entitled to all of these benefits. The Lord desires to keep you safe, protecting you from the evil of the world. He does not want you to be sad or unhappy. It is not His will for calamity or distress to come upon you. He does not want the wicked to injure or break you in any way. He will drive away any vicious beast from you; so that you need not fear. He will cause you to dwell in safety, totally secure in Him. Wherever you go, even to the wildest and roughest areas, you will be able to sleep in contentment and peace.

The Lord Jehovah has promised to bless you and to make you a blessing. You have received freely from His hand; He has given you prosperity and health. So that now you can be a source of these to others you meet. The shalom, peace, and contentment that guide your life is something that you can share. As others observe your life of praise and adoration to God, they will learn to praise and bless Him as well. And the Lord will continue to shower His blessings and benefits upon you. As you keep pouring out of what you have received, He will keep pouring more of Himself into you and you will have more to give.

11-28-06 Job 22:26-29

Job 22:26-29 (KJ21)
The meek shall eat and be satisfied; they shall praise the LORD that seek Him. Your heart shall live for ever. All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD, and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before Thee. For the kingdom is the LORD’S, and He is the governor among the nations.

Job 22:26-29 (NAS)
The afflicted shall eat and be satisfied; Those who seek Him will praise the LORD. Let your heart live forever! All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD, And all the families of the nations will worship before Thee. For the kingdom is the LORD’S, And He rules over the nations. All the prosperous of the earth will eat and worship, All those who go down to the dust will bow before Him, Even he who cannot keep his soul alive.

Job 22:26-29 (NIVUS)
The poor will eat and be satisfied; they who seek the LORD will praise him— may your hearts live forever! All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD, and all the families of the nations will bow down before him, for dominion belongs to the LORD and he rules over the nations. All the rich of the earth will feast and worship; all who go down to the dust will kneel before him— those who cannot keep themselves alive.

Job 22:26-29 (NLT)
The poor will eat and be satisfied. All who seek the LORD will praise him. Their hearts will rejoice with everlasting joy. The whole earth will acknowledge the LORD and return to him. People from every nation will bow down before him. For the LORD is king! He rules all the nations. Let the rich of the earth feast and worship. Let all mortals—those born to die—bow down in his presence.

El Shaddai, who is the Most High and the Most Powerful, is your exquisite delight. He is the One who makes you happy. You are pampered in His presence and He makes you merry. All that you can do is lift up your face in adoration, to look upon His glory.

You know that when you pray to Him, entreating and pleading for His favor. He listens to and understands your supplications. Then He grants your requests, for you have yielded yourself to His will and are in agreement with His word. He is pleased with you since you are quick to proclaim and sound aloud His greatness and His goodness to you. He has multiplied you and made you abundant. And you have vowed and entered into a covenant of peace with Jehovah Shalom, the Prince of Peace.

Now you have the right and the privilege to decree what He has told you. The promises that He has spoken to you are established and confirmed by your very own mouth. Like Him, you can command them to stand and they shall be set and fixed. Your words validate His words!

Then God shall shine His face upon you, illuminating your path. In His light you will march forth and shall not stumble along the way, for His word is a lamp unto your feet. Though the enemy tries to bring you low and to humiliate you, you shall declare that God will lift you up, exalting you in triumph. He shall save and deliver you, setting you free. You will no longer be bowed down in defeat. You will not be reduced or weakened, but God's word over you will bring you increase and strength. Then you will exult in the Lord your God, praising and worshiping Yeshua the Messiah.

11-27-06 Isaiah 30: 19, 21

Isaiah 30:19, 21 (KJ21)
For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem; thou shalt weep no more. He will be very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry; when He shall hear it, He will answer thee...And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, "This is the way; walk ye in it," when ye turn to the right hand and when ye turn to the left.

Isaiah 30:19, 21 (NAS)
O people in Zion, inhabitant in Jerusalem, you will weep no longer. He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry; when He hears it, He will answer you...And your ears will hear a word behind you, "This is the way, walk in it," whenever you turn to the right or to the left.

Isaiah 30:19, 21 (NIVUS)
O people of Zion, who live in Jerusalem, you will weep no more. How gracious he will be when you cry for help! As soon as he hears, he will answer you...Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, "This is the way; walk in it.

Isaiah 30:19, 21 (NLT)
O people of Zion, who live in Jerusalem, you will weep no more. He will be gracious if you ask for help. He will respond instantly to the sound of your cries. ..and you will hear a voice say, "This is the way; turn around and walk here.

You are one of God's chosen people and you dwell in Zion, a permanent place of peace. The peace that rests on your life makes you a signpost and monument to others. The Lord Jehovah has caused you to be preeminent and excel above your fellow men.

Although previously you were in a place of weeping, now Yeshua (Jesus) is your joy. You were humiliated and grieving. But He has been gracious unto you. You are a recipient of God's favor and mercy.

When you cry out for help, putting sound to your voice, the Lord listens attentively and with great interest. He understands what you need and grants your requests. But you must keep your ears attuned to His voice; when you hear His words, you must be obedient to them. Agree with and consent to what He says; for He will give you promises and commands to direct you. He will tell you the way that you should take. With each step of your walk, His words will lead you. If you are to go right, He will tell you; however, if you need to turn left instead, His words will guide you in that way as well. As long as you listen to Him, you will not walk in the dark, but continue on the right path for you life.

11-26-06 Zechariah 10:8, 9

Zechariah 10:8, 9 (KJ21)
I will whistle for them and gather them, for I have redeemed them; and they shall increase as they have increased. And I will sow them among the people, and they shall remember Me in far countries; and they shall live with their children and turn again.

Zechariah 10:8, 9 (NAS)
I will whistle for them to gather them together, For I have redeemed them; And they will be as numerous as they were before. When I scatter them among the peoples, They will remember Me in far countries, And they with their children will live and come back

Zechariah 10:8, 9 (NIVUS)
I will signal for them and gather them in. Surely I will redeem them; they will be as numerous as before. Though I scatter them among the peoples, yet in distant lands they will remember me. They and their children will survive, and they will return.

Zechariah 10:8, 9 (NLT)
When I whistle to them, they will come running, for I have redeemed them. From the few that are left, their population will grow again to its former size. Though I have scattered them like seeds among the nations, still they will remember me in distant lands. With their children, they will survive and come home again to Israel.

If you have ever watched any nature programs on television, you have probably discovered that animals have certain sounds to communicate with each other. Mother animals use different calls to their young than they do with the rest of the herd or flock.

The Lord God also has certain special ways to speak to His people. In fact, the Bible says that He hisses for His people. The word hiss in this context means to whistle or be shrill; it also simply means to call.

When the Lord Jehovah wants to get your attention, He may have to hiss. Perhaps you have grown dull of hearing and only a shrill, sharp sound will arouse you. However if you are daily walking close to Adonai the Lord, you may only need God's simple call to gather you back to Himself or to join together with the rest of His family. The Lord your God is delighted when you assemble together with His other people. As one whom Jesus has ransomed, redeemed, and rescued from sin, you also enjoy getting together with your brothers and sisters in the Lord, for you are a close family unit.

As Jehovah the Lord hedges you about, protecting you from your enemies, you will grow and increase. The Lord delights in your prosperity and growth. When He sees your cooperation in this, He begins to sow you into the lives of others and you begin to bear fruit. Then people from other tribes and nations see what the Spirit of God conceives in and through you; they begin to recognize and remember Almighty God, their Creator and Lord.

Even the remotest and most distant lands will mark and make mention of Adonai's name. They along with their children will be revived, as they begin to turn back to Jehovah the Lord, who is eternal and supreme. He will save them and build them into His house. Like you, Adonai will adopt them into His family and He will dwell with them, as He does with you. Then the cycle of salvation and deliverance begins again through these new babes in Jesus Christ.
