9-22-07 Isaiah 8: 13, 14

Isaiah 8: 13, 14 (NAS)
It is the LORD of hosts whom you should regard as holy. And He shall be your fear, And He shall be your dread. Then He shall become a sanctuary; But to both the houses of Israel, a stone to strike and a rock to stumble over, And a snare and a trap for the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
Isaiah 8: 13, 14 (NLT)
Do not fear anything except the LORD Almighty. He alone is the Holy One. If you fear him, you need fear nothing else. He will keep you safe. But to Israel and Judah he will be a stone that causes people to stumble and a rock that makes them fall. And for the people of Jerusalem he will be a trap that entangles them.

It is important that you prepare and dedicate a place for the Lord your
God. Jehovah is holy and should be treated as such. You must hallow Him, consecrating your life to Him. Honor His majesty and devote yourself to His will.

He is the Lord Sabaoth, the Chief over God's armies. He is the One who goes before you into battle. You are under His leadership and protection. You always maintain His cause in war. You fear and reverence Him; you stand in awe of the Lord your God. His greatness continually astonishes you and causes you to tremble before Him.

Adonai is your sanctuary, your place of refuge. However, He strikes His enemies with stones. He smites them, causing them to stumble. He makes them feeble and weak. When they run at Him to do battle, He is like a rocky cliff from which they fall to their ruin.

You need not fear your hostile adversaries and foes, for the Lord your God besieges, binds, and confines them. He ensnares and traps them. They no longer hold any threat for you; so rejoice! The Lord Jehovah is your sanctuary!

9-17-07 2 Corinthians 9:10

2 Corinthians 9:10 (NAS)
Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food, will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness;

2 Corinthians 9:10 (Philips)
He who gives the seed to the sower and bread to eat, will give you the seed of generosity to sow and will make it grow into a harvest of good deeds done.

2 Corinthians 9:10 (NLT)
For God is the one who gives seed to the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will give you many opportunities to do good, and he will produce a great harvest of generosity in you.

You have been called as a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ and the Lord your God supplies and furnishes all that you need to complete the call on your life. Yeshua has planted the seed of His will and purpose in your heart; that seed contains the vital power and the life giving force from which all of your future plans will germinate.

God has put you on display, even as the shew bread was displayed in the Temple . However, unlike that bread which was only to be seen, Jehovah has asked you to give others nourishment; He gives you seed to plant and seed to make into bread for food. Through it, your soul is nourished, refreshed, and supported.

As you plant your seeds, carrying out what God wants, Adonai increases and multiplies you. He fills you and fulfills your desires. The seeds, that you scatter and sow, will grow and augment your life. They will produce fruit and beget you a harvest of righteousness and faith

9-16-07 2 Corinthians 9:6

2 Corinthians 9:6 (NAS)
Now this I say, he who sows sparingly shall also reap sparingly; and he who sows bountifully shall also reap bountifully.
2 Corinthians 9:6 (Philips)
All I will say is that poor sowing means a poor harvest, and generous sowing means a generous harvest.
2 Corinthians 9:6 (NLT)
Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop.

The Lord God provides everything you need, physical and spiritual. Not only does He give you the necessities for your life, but He also instructs you in principles that help you maintain the lifestyle that you have received from Him.

One of these principles is the law of sowing and reaping. Adonai starts the practice of this law by giving you seed to sow. He then allows you to choose where you will scatter your seed and how much of your seed you will use. If you have a tight fist and sow little seed, your harvest will be small and meager. If you abstain from giving, others will abstain from giving to you.

However, if you decide to sow bountifully, with an open hand, you yourself will be fully satisfied. You will reap an abundant harvest and see the goodness of God in your life. You will have blessings multiplied to you.

Therefore, take the seed that Adonai gives you and sow it generously. When you open your hand, God will open His hand to you.
