2-23-08 Psalm 109:28,29 Your Enemies Are Clothed in Humiliation

Psalms 109:28, 29 (NAS)
Let them curse, but do Thou bless; When they arise, they shall be ashamed, But Thy servant shall be glad. Let my accusers be clothed with dishonor, And let them cover themselves with their own shame as with a robe.

Psalms 109:28, 29 (NLT)
Then let them curse me if they like, but you will bless me! When they attack me, they will be disgraced! But I, your servant, will go right on rejoicing! Make their humiliation obvious to all; clothe my accusers with disgrace.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Ever since the fall of man, when Adam sinned against the Lord God, men have thought that their relationship with God was of little account. They gave the Lord slight and trifling attention. They thought He was insignificant and esteemed Him lightly. They held Him in contempt and dishonor. If they encountered the Almighty, they turned quickly away and tried to shake off the experience. In cursing Him, they brought curses on themselves.

You, however, know the Truth that God loves you and has only good in store for you. You, therefore, kneel before Him and bless Him. Because you adore Him, you praise and salute His holy name.

When God's enemies stand before Him, they will reap the consequences of their choices and actions. Then they will be disappointed and ashamed. Those who have raised themselves in hostility will be disconcerted and embarrassed in His presence.

When you come before the Lord Almighty, you stand in humility to worship and serve. You know that He is the Lord and you are merely His subject. This, however, does not make you sad, depressed, or discouraged. No, in this you rejoice and are glad, for you know that this is the best decision you have ever made.

You also rejoice because you know that your adversaries and opponents will soon be clothed with disgrace and reproach. While you are wearing your robe of righteousness, they will put on shame and confusion; they will be dishonored and insulted. They will be covered only in the apparel of humiliation. Their unfaithfulness and treachery will be their robes and mantles. As they chose unrighteousness in life, so too in death will they be clothed with the same. However, the mantle that you received through the grace of the Lord God will continue to cover you in righteousness!

2-21-08 Psalm 36:26 You Will Be Vindicated!

Psalm 35: 26 (NAS)
Let those be ashamed and humiliated altogether who rejoice at my distress; Let those be clothed with shame and dishonor who magnify themselves over me.

Psalm 35: 26 (NLT)
May those who rejoice at my troubles be humiliated and disgraced. May those who triumph over me be covered with shame and dishonor.

Sometimes men, from the wickedness within their hearts, will speak slander and lies against you. They may never have met you, and yet they have an opinion of you. However, if that opinion differs from the one that the Lord God has of you, then you should disregard it.

If you stand by and wait, you may sooner or later see them put to shame. They will be disappointed and disconcerted. They will be confounded and embarrassed. They will not find that for which they were digging. No matter how they search they will not be able to find anything to continue to hold against you.

Those who come against you will be united together in their confusion. Although now they rejoice when they see you being hurt with wickedness and evil, soon they will be clothed in shame. If they make merry when they see you injured or hurt, you should know that they soon will be disgraced and dishonored. The insults and reproaches they heap on you will come back around to them. They will blush in humiliation.

Your opponents may try to promote themselves, hoping to look important and magnificent, but rest assured that the truth will be revealed. And you will be vindicated.

1 Timothy 3:16 Great is the Mystery of Godliness

1 Timothy 3:16 (NAS)
And by common confession great is the mystery of godliness: He who was revealed in the flesh, Was vindicated in the Spirit, Beheld by angels, Proclaimed among the nations, Believed on in the world, Taken up in glory.

1 Timothy 3:16 (Philips)
No one would deny that this religion of ours is a tremendous mystery, resting as it does on the one who appeared in human flesh, was vindicated in the spirit, seen by angels; proclaimed among the nations, believed in throughout the world, taken back to Heaven in glory.
1 Timothy 3:16 (NLT)
Without question, this is the great mystery of our faith: Christ appeared in the flesh and was shown to be righteous by the Spirit. He was seen by angels and was announced to the nations. He was believed on in the world and was taken up into heaven.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++From the beginning of time, Satan has tried to make mankind believe that God's word is not true. He wants us to believe that we cannot trust God to keep His word. However, Satan is a liar and the father of lies. It is his word that is not true.

Adonai states that there should not even be a controversy about the Truth of His word. God's word is His covenant to you. He is bound by the words that He speaks; it is His obligation to fulfill His word. And you, therefore, must put yourself in agreement with Him, confessing what God has said, instead of the devil.

There are, however, some things that God keeps silent about; there are mysteries in God that unbelievers cannot understand, unless the Lord gives them the revelation. When Adonai gives that revelation, those who believe can easily perceive the Truth, distinguishing it from Satan's lies.

One of these great mysteries is that of godliness and holiness. The gospel, itself, is a mystery that most of mankind cannot figure out, but you have been given revelation on devotion and worship to the One True God. You know that God took on human flesh; Jesus appeared on the earth in a body that was subject to the same frailties and passions to which you are subject; however, through the power of the Holy Spirit, Jesus was totally innocent, holy, and righteous. Because of that He was able to become the Lamb of God, a sacrifice without blemish or stain.

Before He came to earth, angels beheld Jesus. They were acquainted with Him, cared for Him, and paid heed to His every word. They were His constant attendants. Now you are His attendant, who proclaims the gospel with such authority that those who hear must listen and obey. You persuade nations and peoples to put their trust and confidence in the Messiah's finished work. Through the words you preach, many receive eternal salvation in the Kingdom of God. They are no longer alienated and hostile to God and the cause of Christ. Like you, they believe that once His work on earth was finished, Jesus Christ was received back into Heaven, to reign in glory with His Heavenly Father.

2-18-08 Psalm 35:7, 8 Your Enemy Will Fall Into His Pit

Psalms 35:7, 8 (NAS)
For without cause they hid their net for me; Without cause they dug a pit for my soul.Let destruction come upon him unawares; And let the net which he hid catch himself; Into that very destruction let him fall.

Psalms 35:7,8 (NLT)
Although I did them no wrong, they laid a trap for me. Although I did them no wrong, they dug a pit for me. So let sudden ruin overtake them! Let them be caught in the snare they set for me! Let them fall to destruction in the pit they dug for me.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Sometimes you may feel as if you have been blind-sided and attacks are coming at you without cause and undeservedly. Since you walk in God's grace and favor, you are now a target of His greatest enemy. Although Almighty God has shown you mercy and consideration, Satan finds you loathsome. He tries his best to lay siege to you and your property. However, do not let the care of this weigh you down.

Although under the cover of darkness, he lies in wait for you, do not let yourself become discouraged. He may spread a net to capture and bury you; he, however, will not succeed. He cannot take possession of the inheritance that the Lord your God has prepared for you. He cannot bring you to poverty or devour you.

Satan may have dug a pit for you, but you do not have to give in to the depression that he brings against your mind. You do not have to bow yourself down or sink into the despair that the enemy is showing you. Instead you should stand tall, with your head and your hands held high to heaven.

As you turn your attention to the Lord, you will see the ruin and destruction, that was planned for you, come upon your enemy. He will not even understand or know what is happening to him. He will be caught in the net intended to capture you. The pit that he dug for your destruction will be the plot where he will be buried.

2-17-08 Job 5:12, 13 The Lord Frustrates Your Enemies

Job 5:12,13 (NAS)
He frustrates the plotting of the shrewd, So that their hands cannot attain success.He captures the wise by their own shrewdness And the advice of the cunning is quickly thwarted

Job 5:12,13 (NLT)
He frustrates the plans of the crafty, so their efforts will not succeed. He catches those who think they are wise in their own cleverness, so that their cunning schemes are thwarted.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Who is the One who can break the power of the enemy in your life? The only One who can do this is Adonai, the Lord God Almighty! He is able to frustrate and make ineffectual any thoughts, plans, devices, and purposes that Satan sends against you. No one can imagine or invent anything that will keep you defeated. There are none who are so subtle, shrewd, crafty, or sly that can take the Lord by surprise. Their hands cannot do anything against you that will have abiding success, for they do not use sound wisdom in their plans.

Jehovah seizes and captures your enemies. Those wise in the ways of the world will be caught; they will trapped and ensnared in their own craftiness. They are deceived by their own counsel and advice, for it is twisted. When they conspire against you, the Lord your God causes them to be anxious and make haste in their preparations. Then their purposes will quickly fall apart.
