7-5-07 Job 5:17, 18

Job 5:17, 18 (BBE)
Truly, that man is happy who has training from the hand of God: so do not let your heart be shut to the teaching of the Ruler of all.For after his punishment he gives comfort, and after wounding, his hands make you well.

Job 5:17, 18 (JPS)
Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth; therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty. For He maketh sore, and bindeth up; He woundeth, and His hands make whole.

Job 5:17, 18 (NAS)
"Behold, how happy is the man whom God reproves, So do not despise the discipline of the Almighty."For He inflicts pain, and gives relief; He wounds, and His hands also heal.

Job 5:17, 18 (NIVUS)
Blessed is the man whom God corrects; so do not despise the discipline of the Almighty. For he wounds, but he also binds up; he injures, but his hands also heal.

You are your happiest and most blessed when you are going forward and making progress in your walk with the Lord. Sometimes you can only walk a straight path if you receive correction from Adonai the Most High God . When you are ch-5-07astened, you should consider yourself blessed, for the Lord your God has only your best interests in mind, when He tests and proves you.
Do not despise or reject His reproof and conviction. Do not refuse to listen to Him, but embrace His words with gladness. The discipline and instruction, that He gives you, should always be welcome. He desires to teach you to walk in a way that is pleasing to Him. Know that He is El-Shaddai, the Almighty God, who could choose to destroy and ruin you. However, He chooses to reason with and instruct you in His will.
Yes, His chastening may cause you pain and sorrow. You may be sore and hurt for awhile, but the Lord will bind up and bandage your wounds. He will heal you. You may feel shattered, but His hand will restore you. He will fill you up and give you from His abundance again. Once more you will be complete and satisfied in His presence; and you will continue walking that straight path that Jehovah has set before your feet.
