10-14-07 Zephaniah 3:20

Zephaniah 3:20 (NAS)
"At that time I will bring you in, Even at the time when I gather you together; Indeed, I will give you renown and praise Among all the peoples of the earth, When I restore your fortunes before your eyes," Says the LORD.

Zephaniah 3:20 (NLT)
On that day I will gather you together and bring you home again. I will give you a good name, a name of distinction among all the nations of the earth. They will praise you as I restore your fortunes before their very eyes. I, the LORD, have spoken!"

You have had many experiences--some in which you made your fortune and some when you didn't. When the times were not the best, you thought they would go on forever; when the the times were good, you wanted them to go on forever. However, the very best times of your life were when Adonai was in control and you were trusting in His promises.

The Lord God brought and gathered you to Himself. Jesus led you to His Father's throne. He brought you near and appointed you a place in His Kingdom. He extended compassion to you and transformed you. Then He gave you a name and established your reputation. Through Him you received fame and glory.

He has made you a sign before the nations. You shine with the praises of God. Others liken your life to a hymn and song of adoration to Jehovah. They hear thanksgiving and boasting on your lips, for the Lord God has released you from your captivity. He has restored and repaired your life. He has repelled and defeated your enemies. He has reversed the curse that held you.

You have heard the word of the Lord proclaiming freedom and blessing on your life. You have seen the fulfillment of those words with your own eyes.

Therefore, keep your eyes open; there is more to come!
