5-10-07 Isaiah 57:7

Isaiah 57:7(NRSV)
For thus says the high and lofty one who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with those who are contrite and humble in spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble in spirit,
and to revive the heart of the contrite.

The Lord, the highly exalted One, who is Holy and dwells in eternity, is the One who abides and resides in an elevated place, but has also chosen to settle down with those made of dust, those who have been crushed, those who are humble, those who are abased. It is He who breathes life into them, to sustain them and restore them. He revives their hearts and makes them alive forever!

Oh, man of humble spirit, rejoice! Your God has chosen you and abides with you! You are truly blessed!!
