2-15-07 Psalms 16:6

Psalms 16:6 (KJ21)
The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.

Psalms 16:6 (NAS)
The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; Indeed, my heritage is beautiful to me.

Psalms 16:6 (NIVUS)
The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance.

Psalms 16:6 (NLT)
The land you have given me is a pleasant land. What a wonderful inheritance!

Sometimes if you intend to buy a new house, you may need to have a survey done to determine exactly where your property line falls. If you are having a dispute with a neighbor over where your land ends and his begins, again a survey would help. It is important that you know what your boundaries are.

The Lord Jehovah has a measuring line which He uses to determine your inheritance. You are bound to Him, as His kinsman, and He has pledged a portion to you. Your property lines do not fall where you will perish or be lost, for you are accepted in the Beloved, Jesus Christ. He will not let you be overwhelmed or overthrown. You will not be smitten down, so that you perish or rot. Instead your lines lie in delightful, pleasant, and sweet places, where you continually see beauty.

The Lord your God has made you glisten with His glory and you appear fair to those who see you. He has given you a goodly inheritance, an estate that He welcomes you to possess. It is like a valley where winter snows fill the brooks and streams. In it are mine shafts in which Adonai, your God, has hidden treasures for you. Therefore, occupy your portion and give glory to the Most High God.
