2-11-07 Proverbs 3: 34, 35
Surely He scorneth the scorners, but He giveth grace unto the lowly. The wise shall inherit glory, but shame shall be the promotion of fools.

Proverbs 3:34, 35 (NIVUS)
He mocks proud mockers but gives grace to the humble. The wise inherit honor, but fools he holds up to shame.
Proverbs 3:34, 35 (NLT)
The LORD mocks at mockers, but he shows favor to the humble. The wise inherit honor, but fools are put to shame!
Have you ever met someone that has an inflated image of himself? This person is arrogant and boasts of his accomplishments, while mocking and deriding those whom he sees as less than himself. He looks with scorn upon those he thinks are weak, poor, and beneath him. However, the Lord Jehovah easily interprets this man attitudes and scoffs at them, for they are contrary to what is right and just.
Adonai's heart is to give grace and favor to each individual. He desires to pour out His abundant mercy upon those who are poor, humble, afflicted, and meek. He sees their need and desires to show them consideration. Therefore, if you are bowed down and low, you should know that the Lord will bend down to you, so that He can help you and lift you up. He will make your life elegant and charming.
By choosing what is right, you show that you are wise, shrewd, and prudent. You will never be deceived if you live according to God's word. You are in a place to inherit all of the glory and honor that the Most High God has designed for you. You will take possession of the riches and abundance that the Lord has allotted for you. You will walk with dignity and your reputation will be good.
However, if you choose to go against God's will, you will find shame, disgrace, and dishonor. You will be lightly esteemed and dishonored. You will be despised and treated with contempt. If you exalt and magnify yourself, you will show yourself to be a fool and simpleton. Your arrogance will draw the scorn of the Lord, instead of His mercy and grace.
