5-1-06 Psalms 30:5

Psalms 30:5 (KJ21)
For His anger endureth but a moment, and in His favor is life; weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

Psalms 30:5 (NAS)
For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime; Weeping may last for the night, But a shout of joy comes in the morning.

Psalms 30:5 (NIVUS)
For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.

Psalms 30:5 (NLT)
His anger lasts for a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may go on all night, but joy comes with the morning.

Even in close family relationships, there are times when anger is aroused. Children can do things to displease their parents or also make them angry. Usually these heightened emotions soon subside, allowing parents and children to discuss their differences in a civil, peaceful way.

There are times when Adonai, your Heavenly Father, may become angry with you. However, you do not need to fear His eternal wrath, for His anger lasts for a momentary instant. In the twinkling of an eye, He returns to the rest and repose that is His norm. As you quickly settle your disagreements, you too return to quiet rest; it is important, however, that you do not harden your heart against the Lord.

You are the Lord's delight and you have received His favor, goodwill, and acceptance. He looks on you with satisfaction. Through His favor your life remains green and fresh. Like the coming of springtime, you are continually revived. He restores your health and causes you to live prosperously. He will sustain you alive forever.

You still may experience times of weeping through grief and humiliation. However, these tears and lamenting will not remain forever. As a guest lodges only for a night, the grief will not stay permanently. Joy will return with the morning's light.

As God's anger remains only an instant, so too does your grief and mourning. With the Lord's favor, you will be assured of everlasting joy and exaltation.

    Hey Nanc,
It seems that a message of "Favor" is coming from the Lord through many of his messengers. PTL
