5-24-06 Numbers 16:26

Numbers 16:26 (KJ21)
And he spoke unto the congregation, saying, "Depart, I pray you, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing of theirs, lest ye be consumed in all their sins."

Numbers 16:26 (NAS)
and he spoke to the congregation, saying, "Depart now from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing that belongs to them, lest you be swept away in all their sin."

Numbers 16:26 (NIVUS)
He warned the assembly, "Move back from the tents of these wicked men! Do not touch anything belonging to them, or you will be swept away because of all their sins."

Numbers 16:26 (NLT)
"Quick!" he told the people. "Get away from the tents of these wicked men, and don’t touch anything that belongs to them. If you do, you will be destroyed for their sins."

Adonai, the Most High, speaks directly to His family, those of His congregation and people. He commands and promises so that you can be an accurate witness of His name. He wants your life to be a testimony; it should duplicate and repeat His word. Some of God's charges to you may be challenging, but He still requires you to listen and to obey,

One of the things that the Almighty requires is that you not dwell with wicked and ungodly people. You should not pitch your tent with those who violate God's laws and act immorally. You should withdraw and depart from those that are clearly and conspicuously trouble makers. Do not let your hand reach towards or touch anything wrong. You should not join yourself with those who are already condemned.

Sin can be enticing and if you allow yourself to draw near to it, it will eventually consume and destroy you. It easily increases, to your ruin. When you heap up offenses, you bring condemnation and punishment on your life. Therefore, you should stay as far away from sin as possible; in this way you will live forever and not perish.
