My sons, be not now negligent; for the LORD hath chosen you to stand before Him, to serve Him, and that ye should minister unto Him and burn incense.

My dear Levites, do not neglect your duties any longer! The LORD has chosen you to stand in his presence, to minister to him, and to lead the people in worship and make offerings to him.

You have been called and chosen to fill a special place in service to the Lord Jehovah. He has entrusted you with a great responsibility; for you not only stand before Him, but also before His people. It is your privilege to present yourself to the King. You are His attendant. You have been established and ordained for this very purpose.

Therefore, do not neglect your gift and your calling. Do not use it to deceive or mislead people. Do not use it to draw others to yourself and away from God. Always lead them into His presence and allow them to join themselves to the Lord.

Like the priests under the Old Covenant, you come before Him with sacrifices. You, however, offer sacrifices of praise. Your praises rise up before the Lord's face as a sweet smelling incense. As He receives your ministry, He is pleased and rewards you with His blessing.
