7-31-06 Jeremiah 26:13

Jeremiah 26:13 (KJ21)
Therefore now amend your ways and your doings, and obey the voice of the LORD your God; and the LORD will repent of the evil that He hath pronounced against you.

Jeremiah 26:13 (NAS)
Now therefore amend your ways and your deeds, and obey the voice of the LORD your God; and the LORD will change His mind about the misfortune which He has pronounced against you.

Jeremiah 26:13 (NIVUS)
Now reform your ways and your actions and obey the LORD your God. Then the LORD will relent and not bring the disaster he has pronounced against you.

Jeremiah 26:13 (NLT)
But if you stop your sinning and begin to obey the LORD your God, he will cancel this disaster that he has announced against you.

Your life is a result now of the previous choices you have made. You have either chosen right things or you have gone the wrong way. If you continue choosing the same things, your life will continue in the same direction. If it is not the direction that you want to go, then you need to change your choices. What you choose today will affect tomorrow.

One of the most important decisions that you can make is to decide to live your life to please Jehovah, the Lord. This will make you rejoice and you will be glad. You will find that things will be well with you. Your road will become more pleasing, as you change your deeds and practices to line up with God's words. No longer will you deal severely with others; you will have no desire to make a fool of another person. You will not be ruthless or abusive. Instead you will do good and you will see and enjoy the beauty around you.

When you listen to and obey the voice of the Lord, He will not do you any evil. If He has spoken threats and warnings against you, He will repent and change His mind concerning you. He will extend comfort and compassion to you. He wants to converse with you as a friend and fulfill the promises He has made. Therefore, you should take an interest and be attentive to Adonai, the Most High God. You will not be disappointed if you do.
