To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against Him;

When you were young, you probably rebelled against your parents at certain times. You wanted your own way. You thought you knew better than your elders. When you went against their wishes, you usually found yourself in trouble and needed your parents' help, love, and forgiveness.

You also know that you have rebelled against the Most High God. Adonai is your Lord, Master, and Owner. He is the sovereign and supreme God and you need to defer to Him in all things.

Although the Lord your God is strong and mighty. He is compassionate and merciful. He cherishes you with tender love. When you rebel against Him, He extends pardon and forgiveness to you. He wants to spare you from His wrath and punishment, for His love for you is great!

Therefore, when you find yourself in trouble with God because of your rebellion, ask Him to help you. Like your loving parents, He will quickly come to your rescue and restore you to Himself a
