And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all His ways, and to love Him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,

And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you? He requires you to fear him, to live according to his will, to love and worship him with all your heart and soul,

From the beginning of time, Jehovah the one True God has desired a strong people for Himself. He, therefore, created Israel, a prince of God and gave him the power to contend with His enemies. God made Israel strong enough to prevail against everyone who came against him.

You have been adopted into His family and His nation and there are some things that He requires of you. He simply asks you to honor, revere, and respect Him, for He is an awesome God and causes you astonishment. You should fear Him.

Jehovah desires to direct your life and requests that you walk in His ways. You should order your life, so that you habitually follow His word, treading the path that He has laid out for you. He will lead you throughout your life and up until the day you die. And you have nothing to fear in His guidance.

Now you love the Lord your God and you walk with Him as a friend. You work for Him and serve Him with your whole heart and soul, for He has refreshed and restored you to wholeness.
