As you use physical water to clean your things, the Lord God uses the water of His word to clean your soul. His word is clean and pure; it is uncontaminated and holy. Therefore, when the Lord your God sprinkles you with the water of His word, He is making your clean, pure, and innocent once again. The water of the word poured into you is like a man's semen poured into a woman's womb--both bring forth life.

Now you are holy, for Adonai has made you sound and bright. He has pronounced you clean and clear of all filthiness and impurity. You are no longer foul and contaminated. What used to defile and pollute your life has been removed by the blood of Jesus. Adonai has purged you from those idols that were set up in your life. You do not even desire to carve new gods. These self-made idols have been rolled away and removed from your life. You are no longer committed to them and do not trust them; for you have made the Lord God Almighty your God, the One whom you worship.
