1 Peter 1:3 (NIVUS)
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
1 Peter 1:3 (NLT)
All honor to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, for it is by his boundless mercy that God has given us the privilege of being born again. Now we live with a wonderful expectation because Jesus Christ rose again from the dead.
Hope is a good expectation for things to come, and it is something everyone needs to keep on going. The only way to obtain true hope is to have faith in God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ.
Although you were once miserable and afflicted, you now are a recipient of God's mercy, kindness, and goodwill. He offered you salvation and clemency through His Son Jesus Christ, the anointed One and you now have everlasting life through the new birth that you have been given. Your will now conforms to the will of God. Your life is now active, blessed, and endless in the Kingdom of God. You are fresh and strong with vital power that helps you each and every day.
Now you do not have an expectation of fear, but of good. Joy and confidence are the evidence of what God has done in your life. All of this is yours through the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. When He was raised, you were raised. The vitality that infused His lifeless body has infused you as well. Death could not hold Him and it will not hold you.
Therefore, bless and praise the Most High God and celebrate the victory of His Son. Through Him you are favored, blessed, happy, and prosperous. In Him you have hope and you can endure until the end
