Nahum 1:7 (KJ21)

Nahum 1:7 (NIVUS)
The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him,

Nahum 1:7 (NLT)
The LORD is good. When trouble comes, he is a strong refuge. And he knows everyone who trusts in him.

Jehovah, the Lord God, is good, pleasant, and agreeable. He is not hard to get along with, as some people think. All that He makes is excellent and valuable and His most excellent and valuable creation is the child of God, the man or woman who trusts in Adonai. The Lord is kind to His children; He does all that He can to make their lives happy and prosperous.

Your life is better and more joyful because you gave the Lord your God control. With His help, you do good and act rightly. You have discovered that El-Shaddai, the Almighty God, is a place of safety and protection--a harbor where you can let down your anchor. He is a refuge and stronghold for you.

When you are assaulted with trouble and distress, God strengthens you. Even though your enemies and adversaries press hard against you, with the Lord's help, you shall prevail. In that day of vexation and harassment, you need not fear; for you will overcome. Instead of a rock wall, you will see that your foes are merely pebbles, which can easily be kicked aside.

Adonai knows you; for you have sought His refuge and have run to Him for protection. He acknowledges and confesses you as His own. He reveals Himself to you because you have trusted and put your hope in Him. He is your confidant and friend. He will always uphold you and never let you down.
